Mitchell is a fantastic teacher with great energy and a very positive attitude. His lessons are always fun, engaging, and enjoyable for the children, and they genuinely look forward to learning with him. He creates a friendly and welcoming environment where students feel confident and motivated to participate. His enthusiasm, encouragement, and active teaching style make a positive impact on every child he teaches. Anyone looking for an English teacher or volunteer to work with children would be lucky to have Mitchell, and I would highly recommend him. Thank you, Mitchell, for your kindness, dedication, and the wonderful contribution you have made to our children .

Joe and Kaho were an interesting couple. I enjoyed their bilingual presence, and their Australian experience. Unfortunately they did not stay long enough for us to really get to know them properly.

Deepak and Kaushila welcomed me as someone of their family. they have a real sense of hospitality ! the food was one of the best I ate I Nepal ! Kaushila made differents meals everyday, and also a lot of snacks during the day. The tea, all along the days was amazing. I learn a lot thanks to them, in the fields, in the kitchen, and making the tea. The work is really manageable, you work 3hours per day, and it was mostly about learning than helping us because it takes time to be efficient ! Their house and garden are really cute and calm. I played a lot with the cats and the baby goats. we also have a lot of interesting discussions about culture, Nepal and differents things, moments that I really enjoyed ! Kaushila and Deepak are truly the most kind and welcoming persons I met, I recommend to anyone to take time to go there, outside of the main touristics place of Nepal, to learn a lot, and share really good and unique moments !

We had a wonderful experience with Pangiran and his family a few months ago, and still talk about our lovely time very often. I truly hope we have the opportunity to return sometime! It is an incredibly special place and I really feel that we learned so much. We are particularly interested in Indigenous rights and land preservation, so to have had the chance to speak with Pangiran and other important community members about Lundayeh culture and history was absolutely unmatched. Pangiran was willing to answer our many-many-many questions, and shared with us so much insight. He and his family are very hospitable and welcoming. During our stay we enjoyed connecting with many different members of the community, often over lovely beverages and snacks prepared by Pangiran's wife. We especially appreciated the chance to chat with Guru and listen to his stories and songs. We also got to attend a church service with everyone, which was a truly unique and memorable moment for us. The work itself was not difficult, and everyone was very patient with us as physical labor isn't necessarily our strong suit! All of our needs were met and then some during our stay. Prior to our arrival, we anticipated much less comfortable arrangements than we were met with. We visited during a very rainy time, and were offered a comfortable private room indoors, as well as access to a Western bathroom and other facilities. Thank you again to Pangiran and his family for hosting us. The knowledge we have gained will stick with us for a lifetime. As Guru likes to sing, we hope to "Please come back again!" <3 Best Wishes

The Foundation ran my Emma and Sabine is an inspiring project in the heart of Mfuwe, South Luangwa. I had an amazing time working with their team of Zambians on carpentry and garden projects, learnt loads, gained so much insight about local life and also got to experience the amazing national park. Highly recommend.

I found it hard to find the words to describe this experience that encompasses everything that happened in barely 2 months! This was my first workaway experience, and everyone staying here made it feel very welcoming. On the first day, I was full at nerves for doing something originally so out of my comfort zone, but both Noah and Patty make you feel at home, along with getting to experience it all with the other workawayers. I feel as though I was able to learn so much about the animals (and get to know their unique personalities), activism, and even myself. I will miss the valley, the people, and of course the animals. I’m looking forward to all the updates on social media! Thank you to everyone that made the stay so special, you are doing awesome things here and the hard work does not go unnoticed <3

I had the most amazing time. The Pagna and his family were so welcoming and I was so sad to have to leave them after my two week stay was up. I loved teaching at the school. The students were all excited to learn and so respectful of the school. The work Pagna and his family do is truly amazing and I feel so lucky I got to be a part of it. I would highly recommend visiting this school and supporting it in any way you can.

Alex went above and beyond my expectations, in her hours worked and in her duties. She was punctual, reliable and trustworthy. Alex genuinely cared about the well-being of our horses and the participants. We truly enjoyed your stay with us, and we're very appreciative of the care you gave all the four-leggeds! We look forward to seeing you back again, if all goes well :)

I had a wonderful time staying with Diane and Ethan. Diane is incredibly caring, and I really appreciated the many meaningful conversations we shared. Ethan is a respectful, fun, and kind kid, and I loved spending time with him. We shared lots of fun moments together, and from the very beginning I felt welcomed as part of the family. Thank you for opening your home to me and for making this experience so special. I will always look back on my time with you with a smile.

I stayed with Janice and David for three weeks together with a friend I had previously met through Workaway. During our stay, we helped with a variety of tasks around the property. This included weeding, helping David cut down a tree and clear away the branches, caring for the alpacas, maintaining the blackberry bushes and using the leaf blower to keep the paths and driveway clear. Walking around with the leaf blower sometimes felt a bit like being in Ghostbusters, which definitely made the job more entertaining. My favourite task was spending time with the dogs and helping with their daily care. Over the three weeks, I learned a lot about farm life, animal care, and working outdoors. Janice and David were always patient, and willing to explain tasks when needed. Since English is not my first language, I especially appreciated their patience and understanding whenever I needed something repeated or clarified. We also enjoyed helping Janice with the daily cooking. It was a nice part of the day. David was also kind enough to take us on a few outings during our stay, which we really appreciated and which allowed us to explore more of the area. I enjoyed the variety work, spending time with the animals, and experiencing everyday life on the property. The three weeks went by very quickly, and I am grateful for everything I learned during my stay. Thank you, Janice and David, for the experience. - Isabel

Alina and Lawrence were fantastic hosts. Their home was comfortable and spacious. We worked with Lawrence in the mornings doing DIY and gardening projects. He was very easy going and lovely to work with. Alina is an amazing person who never stops working and helping others. She is a fantastic cook and a lovely person. We enjoyed our stay with them very much. A wonderful experience.

As my first and only work away experience, my experience here challenged me in new way and broadened me to new horizons. First of all, everybody involved has a heart of gold. Neil Young could have looked no further. I arrived in the hottest season of the year (mid spring) and during one of the hardest farm challenges (milpa weeding). The Mexicans wear long sleeves and long pants to guard from the sun. As someone who considers myself in good physical shape, I was surprised at how unprepared I am for high noon farm work. The hosts and guests all emphasized that I should not overexert myself, but that was not in my nature or training. I did not expect to start crying after saying goodbye to everybody, but I did. The views on the plain are magnificent. I chose this place for the photos and they are very much typical every day. In my innocent ways I wasn't used to the fireworks and guard dogs, but I now understand these are ubiquitous in Mexico. The population of Tonantzintlan is working class (compared a visiting American) and, as I understand it, outgoing kindness is a luxury. Most people are courteous but busy with their goals.

I had amazing times staying at Stanko’s place. From the day one, I was like at home, the way he treated me felt l am part of the family. The most adorable ones; Astra and Sophie!!! I already miss them alot, they are super friendly, be ready for Astra and her stone fetching obsession 😂 she loves playing with rocks and she is great hiking buddy by the way. Sophie is the most cuddly cat ever!! Also, Thank you so much Eliana for making my stay even more valuable, I enjoyed every conversations, our cooking sessions, and all the other moments we have had. Franco, Patricia and Nur are the most beautiful family and I’m so grateful to them for welcoming me. They were so patient with my lack of Spanish and so eager to get me involved with the family. They have created with the most inspiring education project and you can see how much time, effort and passion they have put into creating a space for children to learn, play and discover. If you are interested in education and looking for alternative ways of education this is a perfect example of how to foster a space for children to grow and learn. The children are wonderful and it was a joy working with them. I learnt so much, not only about education but also Peruvian culture and how to create community. All the parents were also so welcoming and kind and you can tell they really care for each other and their community. Cannot recommend enough, I will always hold this place in my heart.

It was such a delight to host Sandra. She was incredibly helpful and an absolute dynamo, throwing herself into every task with enthusiasm and energy. During her stay she helped with painting, sanding, gardening, clearing weeds and brambles, and a variety of other projects around the property. What I particularly appreciated was that she needed very little direction, she simply got stuck in, worked independently, and did an incredible job. Sandra has a wonderfully calm and kind nature, and she is great fun to be around. We shared some lovely experiences together, including visits to local markets, paddleboarding, swimming, practising yoga each morning, and preparing healthy meals and drinks. It was also a real pleasure to show her around La Manche, and I really enjoyed our Beach time. Sandra was delightful company throughout her stay, positive, thoughtful, hardworking, and always willing to help. I would highly recommend her to any future host and very much hope our paths will cross again soon. She is welcome back anytime.
