  Help us transform our land in Tyn nad Vltavou, South Bohemia, Czech Republic.
  We would love to make our dreams into reality and we need your help!
  Our lovely plot of land needs volunteers who are interested in: gardening, permaculture, landscaping, construction and art projects. In exchange we offer a glamping experience in a furnished bell tent/ caravan and help you to get the most out of your time here.
  So, let me introduce myself: my name is Nicole and I am from England. I moved to Czech Republic with my Czech husband, Jan, two years ago. We have a soon to be 2 year old daughter and a newborn. We have got a lovely plot of land (almost 2 hectares) in Tyn nad Vltavou and have dreams of turning it into a self sufficient paradise.
  A little bit more about us: I have a master in education. As an educator, I understand the importance of outdoor space and how it forms young brains. This land has the potential to provide space for free play, life skills development and creativity. In the future, I hope to host summer camps and workshops for children here. Luckily, my husband is a landscape architect wiith a passion for upcycling. He likes to be creative and build something out of nothing. Jan, is a skilled carpenter too, so I am always very excited to see how his projects turn out.
  Overall, we are a young and open- minded family who would be over the moon to host you here anything is/could be possible with the correct planning.

  Arbeit

  • Gardening (trying to use the permaculture principles)- planting trees, fruits and vegtables, weeding, etablishing new hedge rows and maintaining the grass
  • Landscaping- buiding pathways throughout the valley/ building retaining walls and steps
  • Construction- all sorts of carpentery projects such as building shelters, steps, retaining walls, platforms, pergolas and other small construction projects.
  • Art projects- painting and decorating where needed. Being creative (painting designs on wood)

  Unterkunft

  In terms of accomodation we have a caravan and a couple of furnished bell tents.

  There is also the river Vltava near by where you can take a dip.
  
  We will provide you with food but it’s up to you to cook for yourselves.

  South Bohemia is known for its beautiful nature, vast number of castles and historic towns making it a popular destination that will keep you entertained. Tyn nad Vlatavou is at the very centre of South Bohemia making it a perfect base for adventures!
  Our land is about a 5-10 minute walk from the square which has all of the essential amenities you would expect: shops, restaurant, gallery, museum, post office, café, pub and a bus station nearby.
  In terms of transport there are a couple of convenient ways how to venture out; bus, boat, bicycle. There are frequent buses to most of the significant towns in the area such as Bechyne, Tabor, Ceske Budejovice, Cesky Krumlov, Prague etc. Hluboka nad Vlatavou can be reached direct by a boat. If you don’t feel like doing trips there are things to do locally such as: hire a boat or paddleboad, visit the lido or have a fine food experience at Hugo the gourmet restaurant (why not treat yourself) Also, if you want to use an electric bike/scooter these can be hired from the local tourist office for a really good price.
