Vom Host für Workawayer (Sam)
Sam was exactly what Nigel needed; willing, keen, helpful and okay with Nigel's erratic hours. With guidance Sam was able to carry out all tasks that were asked of him and he was interested in learning new skills.
Thanks for all your help and for being easy to have in our home. All the best with the rest of your travels.

This host is a must when you come and vist or just travelling through New Zealand. Jacqui and Nigel are the best of hosts, hard workers and just lovely to be around. Every day there are good jobs to do around the property and more on the land in the bush that they own. I have stayed for 11 days and I enjoyed every second of being here with them

Our stay with Jacqui, Nigel and Max was awesome! We stayed a week with them and they all made us feel very welcomed! We mainly got to do different tasks in the garden, cleaning some cars and one day Nigel took us up to their section of land, where he showed us how to build stairs which I think was pretty cool! I (Maike) especially enjoyed the

Would love to come back at some point or even welcome you in Cologne and introduce you (especially Nigel) to some Raclette ;-)
Thank you all for the great week!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

Anja was great to have around and just got on with the set tasks. We had many excellent conversations. Her enthusiasm for and knowledge about gardening was very helpful and she is skilled with the sewing machine. Thank you for all your help, your easy company, and especially the for the sewn gifts for our grandsons and Max.

Thank you Chiko and Kohji for choosing to stay with us. We all enjoyed your company and enthusiasm. Kohji is an expert painter who worked like a trojan for us. From day one their family was full of kindness. We were so grateful to live with them. It was a good inspiration to us about how to be a family, how to work, about honey bees and about the native trees. Their families seemed to stay close, talk well and learn from each other. They were always doing something they enjoyed working on because it was

If other workawayers are staying in their homes we highly recommend staying with them and learning from and experiencing their profession. The trip to Ocean Beach was a wonderful bonus! They are a wonderful family! We will surely see you again!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

Sorry it's taken me so long to leave feedback! Jacqui, Nigel & Max were amazing hosts - they were able to take me last minute, and from the moment I arrived I felt like part of the family. The meals were delicious, my room was very comfortable, and I loved exploring the little town - Jacqui took me on a beautiful tramp one night that I still think

I loved learning about the bees, and the home was so cozy in front of the fire even when the weather was nasty outside. Thanks again! Jen requested to come to us as a last minute worker and as a result the work kept her busy but I am sure not stimulated as it was mainly cleaning. She communicated well, worked hard and was easy to chat to. We had stimulating conversations and it was a pleasure to host her.

A family house with laughter always evident in a lively atmosphere. In the two weeks we spent with them we mainly worked with Nigel on preparing longterm supplies for his bee-keeping – assembling beehive “supers”, waxing hive frames and a number of other odd jobs. The weather was atrocious for so-called summer, so indoor work was the order of the

The family as a whole welcomed us and there were many opportunities to discuss world affairs, the places we have all travelled in and for us to learn more about New Zealand. Thank you both so much for having us along.Dieser Workawayer hat sich dafür entschieden, sein Profil privat zu schalten, kann aber von anderen Workawayern bezüglich dieses Feedbacks kontaktiert werden.

I have had the absolute pleasure of staying 1 month in Jacqui & Nigel’s household and wholeheartedly recommend staying with their wonderful family if you happen to get the chance. Work was fair and reasonable, I mainly helped with doing a thorough spring cleaning and in exchange I got the real kiwi family experience.
Jacqui is a wonderful and

Nigel was fantastic and really supported my beekeeping endeavours as I shadowed him during our times of good weather, he was incredibly knowledgeable and was happy to share it, I learnt so much from him. I am also totally indebted to Nigel for going above and beyond in helping me purchase a car.
The rest of the family are also brilliant, with Clare and Suzannah’s exceptional cooking you are never far from a delicious and wholesome meal. I had the pleasure of meeting the whole family who were welcoming, kind and I enjoyed spending the little time I had with them. Bonnie was just a barrel of laughs who would love to sit on you and eat your apple cores. Juno, aloof as she was towards me really had her moments and is a beautiful cat. Also, Luke the lamb has a special place in my heart!
The accommodation was perfect and a short walk to the nearby train station so it was convenient to get into Wellington. The surrounding areas offer great tramping opportunities and it was unfortunate that I only got my car soon before my departure, but will definitely be popping by on my way up to Auckland. I hope you are all keeping well, I’m so thankful for my time with you all.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

It's hard to make a short comment on an experience which was initially planned as a 10 days stay but ended in 3 stays of nearly two months in total ! Jacqui and Nigel definitely gifted us highlights of our 9 months stay in NZ.

Jacqui and her family are just beautiful. We had a great time in wellington which is very easy to get to and they took us out to some really cool spots around their home.
