I stayed with this wonderful family in October 2021. My time in Legnano was filled with nice moments and experiences. They received me just as family and made sure from the beginning that I felt comfortable. On my first day there we went on a chestnut picking excursion near lake Como and had a picknick up in the mountain. During the week I got to

Cristina is a caring mother and was always attentive giving me advice on how to move in the city and different cultural places for me to visit. Marco is a wonderful cook and a sharp Spanish speaker, so we had some interesting talks about the differences among languages. He knows and taught me a lot about the foods and traditions of Italy. We had a wonderful bike ride along the river with him and Cristina.
Olmo introduced me to his friends and took me out on some nice plans. He is really smart and knows a lot about health and ecology. I really enjoyed our talks and getaways. Guglielmo was really kind in sharing his room with me. He is really funny and always cheers the mood in the house. Anita is a great and sensitive person and although I arrived in a time of much study for her, she was always willing make some time to have a conversation.
Visiting this family was one of the first things I did when I moved to Italy, and it made my arrival in the country very warm and hopeful. I am grateful with each person in this family, and I hope to see them again soon. My experience in Legnano was very special.
All the best for you. See you soon!

Alejandro stayed with us about 2 weeks in October 2021. He is a very polite and nice guy. He immediately integrated and made friends with all of us, participating actively in family life and helping in the house, with curiosity and interest in our proposals for trips and visits in the surroundings. He was also indipendent whenever we were either

He also cooked for us and prepared delicious Argentine recipes. It was nice to talk to him about Argentina and his future projects. We already miss him a lot. We honestly think that we had a very interesting and positive experience. Our feedback is great! Thanks for this opportunity,we wish him all the best of luck in his search of job in Italy or in another European country with the hope of seeing him again.

Drew is an American student who stayed with us for 2 weeks in July 2021. He is a very polite guy, highly educated and knowledgeable on every subject. With him, you can talk about everything. His English is perfect, he seems born to teach, my sons and I were able to improve our English by practicing speaking with Drew every day. He immediately

While the memories of my time in Lombardia are fresh in my mind, I'll give the best explanation I can regarding my stay.
From the beginning, clear and helpful communication between Marco, Cristina, and I made planning and arriving in Milan unbelievably easy. All the information they gave me was accurate and helpful, and I immediately felt confident that we all would really benefit from this exchange. Even though all of our schedules were complicated and interwoven, they warmly offered their home, and successfully navigated through every difficulty with a smile.
Every detail, even though it may not have seemed important, revealed the care and concern that Marco and Cristina had for me; from leaving some regional travel guides on the desk in my room for me, and introducing me to friends, relatives, and neighbors, to getting all kinds of local foods for me to taste and experience. Always checking in with me, and assisting with anything I needed, I felt a true, honest, and compassionate hospitality. And so, I felt that I needed to give the best possible exchange and English assistance I could; because they deserved my best in return for their best!
The two weeks spent with them seemed to be a month, because each day was chock-full of immersion, excitement, great conversation, and good times. I felt a strong connection with each member of the family, and was able to spend lots of time with each of them (except Guglielmo, though the 2 days I spent with him were just as exciting 😎). I truly got to know each of them as individuals, learning their unique personalities and interests! Good conversations and cooking with Marco, walks around the town with Cristina, hanging out with Olmo and his friends, going on day trips and exchanging language lessons with Anita, and relaxing with Guglielmo at the end.
Everybody was so excited to learn, and really responsive to all the help I gave with English, the new words and phrases I shared, and the grammar and pronunciation I taught, that it just felt natural. It was a joy to help them practice, and I really felt like I was helping them improve, since I could notice all the improvements they made, and when they used all the new words and phrases the next day! And, I learned so much in this short time; all about their region, about it's culture and history, and (most importantly) about the Italian language. They were quick to help me whenever I stumbled when speaking Italian, and gave me tons of opportunities to practice with them and with others. At the end, of course, it was sad to leave, but I am certain that these memories will always remain, and that we will make many more together! I feel like a part of their family now, and I can't thank them enough- Marco, Cristina, Olmo, Anita, and Guli- honest people with good hearts and sharp minds. They have a bright future ahead, and I hope that I helped them get a few more glimmers.
With my warmest regards!
