Beschreibung
We are a animal friendly community engaged with farming, fruit growing and forestry. My agro-partner Leonora joined me in April and in June joined us Sara and Alex with friendly dog Art and lovely cat Loki. Their animal companions on the farm are five chickens.
We are almost in the centre of sLOVEnia, near Litija. We should soon become self-sustaining because we have two springs of water, 12 ha of forest, a lot of healthy fertile land. We have also a big green house.
You may join me for the ride from Ljubljana on Friday afternoon.
Sara and Alex or our neighbors are also helping us with transportation but I can not promise you to pick you up and drive you to the farm.
Independently from Ljubljana you may take a train to Litija and (only on a workdays catch a bus (or hitchhike) to Cerovica (direction Gabrovka) at 12.23, 14.28, 15.38 and 17.18. From Cerovica you continue 300m and walk uphill for 2km or hitchhike. Hitchhiking is easy.
I usually drive back to Ljubljana on Sunday evening or Monday around 10am.
Since we are planning to do renovation of one of the buildings in autumn-winter we would appreciate a help mostly in construction.
We may provide you accommodation and food for three meals a day and expect from you to participate in the help up to 5hours a day.
We are eating mostly plant based food and is desirable that you don’t bring any meat or meat products or alcohol. At the moment may accept also a long time residents and somebody who will takeover a farm after few years...
So far i traveled almost 150 countries, 76 on a bicycle, run 10 marathons and hosted more than 1000 guests in Ljubljana and on the farm in the last 22years.
I speak Croatian, English, Italian, Spanish and a bit of French, German, Portuguese and Bahasa.

There are currently two apartments available. Three-room and two-room. It is also possible to camp, but we do not have the equipment for it.

Public transport is two km away and 11 km away is the train station. From there it is a half hour drive to Ljubljana. A few km away is Bogenšperk Castle, and the Sitarjevec mine is 10 km away.

We did lots of different types of work- cleaning the greenhouse, watering the gardens, harvesting crops, collecting wood from the forest, chopping wood, making tomato sauce for winter, etc.… read more
