Hi there! We're a friendly family living on a small farm in the beautiful Swedish countryside. Right now we are only 5 people living on the Farm which are my parents ( 56 & 55), my two younger siblings 19 & 14 and me 24 years old. Our days are full of life, laughter we share our home with goats, sheep, horses, cats, dogs, bees, and chickens but don’t worry not all of them live inside;)! Every day brings something new, and we love the rhythm of life here surrounded by nature.
We are not a business nor do we sell any of our own products it is only for our own consumption, and for visitors/guests/ helpers of course!
We love where we live — the air is fresh, the forest is just around the corner, and the seasons shape our work and play. We think you'll fall in love with the peaceful surroundings, the chance to unplug, and the joy of working alongside animals and people who care deeply about their land.
If you're someone who enjoys getting their hands dirty, being close to animals, and becoming part of a family and community for a little while, we’d love to welcome you here.Arten von Hilfe und Lernmöglichkeiten

We’re originally from Austria and moved to Sweden in 2015 to follow our dream of living closer to nature and raising our family on a farm. This mix of cultures has shaped the way we live — blending Austrian roots with Swedish traditions and countryside living.
As a Workawayer, you’ll get to experience a bit of both! We love sharing our Austrian heritage, from food and stories to ways of doing things, and we’ve also embraced many aspects of Swedish life — like celebrating midsummer, foraging in the forest, and enjoying the slow pace of long summer evenings or cozy winter days by the fire.
You’ll have the chance to:
Learn about farm life and animal care in a real, hands-on way
Try traditional Austrian and Swedish dishes (and share your own recipes, too!)
Practice language skills — we speak German, English, and Swedish
Experience the rhythm of life in rural Sweden
Join our family in local events or seasonal celebrations if they’re happening during your stay
Share your own culture with us — we love hearing about different ways of life!
More than anything, we love the exchange of ideas, skills, and stories. We’ve met amazing people from all over the world, and we always look forward to welcoming someone new into our home.Arbeit
Life on a farm means there's always something going on, and we really appreciate an extra set of hands! Depending on the season and what’s happening around the farm, the help we need can vary quite a bit. Some days are light and easy, others are more hands-on — but we always work together and make sure it’s a fun and rewarding experience.
Here are some examples of what you might help us with:
Feeding and caring for the animals (goats, sheep, chickens, horse, etc.)
Cleaning stables, chicken coops, or animal shelters
General farm maintenance: fixing fences, repairing things that have worn out
Gardening or working in the greenhouse (in season)
Painting buildings, fences, or furniture
Helping with building projects (like a new chicken coop or outdoor shelter)
Assisting with the horses (if you’re experienced or want to learn)
Helping out in the kitchen or around the house when needed
Tidying up, organizing storage spaces, or cleaning shared areas
Or maybe there is something else that you are an expert in that can be useful for us, just shoot a message!
We also have a website that could use some improvement and advice !
You don’t need to be an expert — just willing to learn, try new things, and pitch in where you can. We really value flexibility, a good sense of humor, and a love of animals. Every little bit of help makes a big difference here!Gesprochene Sprachen

Depending on the time of year and how many of you are coming, we have a couple of different accommodation options:
Your own little stuga (cabin) — This cozy cabin is just a few steps from the main house and gives you your own space and privacy while still being part of our daily life. You’ll have a quiet place to relax and sleep, but we’ll share common areas like the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry. Food would be included and meals would be shared but if i am not cooking (beca of work etc.) you can always use the kitchen as your own and cook for yourself!
A full vacation home — If you're a small group (more than two people depending on the date ), we can offer you a charming house just 3 minutes from our farm. It's a proper vacation home with everything you need — kitchen, bathroom, living space — and gives you even more independence while still staying close by. Meals are not included and you will do your own cooking and grocery shopping. Snacks while working will of course be available. Was noch ...
Even though we live in a peaceful rural area, there are plenty of fun and interesting things to do nearby during your time off. Whether you enjoy nature, history, or small-town charm, there’s something for everyone. Here are a few great places and ideas:
Kalmar (about 1 hour away): A lovely coastal town with a rich history. You can visit the beautiful Kalmar Castle, stroll through the old town with cobblestone streets and colorful wooden houses, explore museums, or enjoy the seaside atmosphere with cozy cafés and restaurants.
Öland: Sweden’s second-largest island, just across the bridge from Kalmar. It’s full of sandy beaches, windmills, unique nature reserves, and old ruins like Borgholm Castle. A great place for a day trip or weekend adventure, especially in summer.
Vimmerby: The hometown of Astrid Lindgren, the beloved author of Pippi Longstocking. You can visit Astrid Lindgren’s World, a charming park that brings her stories to life — fun for both kids and adults! There’s also her childhood home and other attractions tied to her life and books.
Oskarshamn: A coastal town where you can take a ferry to the beautiful Blå Jungfrun National Park, an island full of mystery, caves, and hiking trails. There’s also a nice harbor area and some cultural spots like art galleries and small museums.
Local castles & manors: Besides Kalmar Castle and Borgholm Castle, you can explore smaller historical sites like Eketorp Fort on Öland or Grönsö Castle if you're up for a drive. Many places have lovely gardens and walking trails.
Nature and hiking: There are countless trails, forests, and lakes right near us in Trånshult. You can take a picnic, go berry picking, or just enjoy the peacefulness. In summer, swimming in nearby lakes is a favorite activity.
Wildlife spotting: If you're lucky, you might see deer, foxes, moose — or even cranes and eagles if you're into birdwatching!
House rules:
Here are a few things to know:
We eat meals together when possible and love sharing food, but you’ll always have access to your own space for cooking too.
We try to live sustainably — so we recycle, compost, and try not to waste food or energy.
We ask everyone to clean up after themselves and help keep shared spaces tidy.
Respect for the animals is very important to us — gentle handling and patience go a long way!
We appreciate open communication — if you need something, just ask!Etwas mehr Information
