  Life with Horses is a charity who re-habilitate and re-educate retired racehorses. We are located in Mount Samson (about 45min drive from Brisbane CBD). We are located on 14 acres, we are a horse property - this is the perfect place for a horse lover. We have an abundance of animals 5 x chickens, 2 x dogs, 1 x barn cat and 7 x horses.
  
  Easy going family who are all about providing the best life for the retired racehorse.
  
  Our location provides you with the best and most convenient hub to enjoy a rural stay while having easy access to the North, City and then the South.
  
  Mount Samson is in the Moreton Bay region of Brisbane providing access to amazing bush walking locations, short drives to the coast line and or the Sunshine Coast and Noosa.
  
  Only 45mins away from the Brisbane CBD allowing you to explore the City sites like the Story Bridge, Brisbane River, Moreton Bay Island, restaurants, bars and clubs.
  
  With a train station 15mins away, you can also hop on a train and head to the Gold Coast easily.

  - Equine Assisted Therapy - how we use horses to help humans heal and experiencing the healing yourself if you are open to it
  - We have a lot of Australian wild life around the property, Kangaroo’s and Wallabies. Koala’s in the area.

  Arbeit

  We need help with feeding, picking up poop (lots of it) and caring for our animals on the property. No horse experience is ok BUT if you have horse experience you can assist with the re-education of the horses.
  
  We will also have general maintenance on a daily basis, please note this is a working farm and charity business so always something to do - if you have initiative and willing to just jump on in to task needing to be done you’ll fit in. We want you to experience our amazing horses and the cause we support but we need to be clear we are a working charity working with injured horses.

  Unterkunft

  Own bedroom in the barn (can house two Workawayers at a time), so seperate to the main house. This is a barn so please be aware that it is not your usual home style room, but is kept clean - this will not be to some peoples tatse. This provides you with the rural and barn life experience as a farm hand.
  
  The barn also has bathroom and kitchen.
  
  We will provide food for Workawayers to cook their own meals in their kitchen.
