My month with Catherine was absolutely perfect! Having previously completed a workaway in France two years prior, I had high expectations for a repeat experience - my time with Catherine exceeded all expectations! I felt at home immediately thanks to Catherine's kind nature, her lovely dog Condor and her wonderful home. The work to complete was
… read more varied and Catherine was very supportive in making sure the hours were flexible so that I could still have time to explore the region and even have to friends visit (and work with me for a week) during my time. Catherine provided extremely nutritious organic meals for me and we had endless conversations in both english and french so that we could both practice in a foreign language. Although living in an eco house, Catherine's home was still very warm, loving and had all the amenities needed to live comfortably. In fact I prefer this way of simple living! Her house is wonderfully located close to a lake, the woods and is only a 10 min walk to the train station which takes you into Bordeaux in only 12 mins! Do not hesitate in contacting her to stay! … read more petite terrasse qu’elle a construite avec une amie qui est venue la voir quelques jours, le jardin qu’elle a désherbé et aménagé avec une autre amis passée quelques jours aussi, le garage qu’elle a rangé. Ce fut agréable de travailler avec elle quand j’avais le temps, et je pouvais la laisser travailler seule en toute confiance pendant mes absences. Nous avons beaucoup discuté de sujets d’intérêt commun et elle a pu pratiqué le français et moi j’ai pu pratiquer l’anglais. Bref, pour moi ce fut une worawayeuse parfaite. Vous pouvez la recevoir sans hésitation !
I received Caithlyn for a month at home and I wish she had stayed longer !!! We got along very well. Caithlyn is smiling, positive, caring, curious, helpful. She helped me a lot for everything I had to do in the garden and I can enjoy every day the small terrace that she built with a friend who came to see her a few days, the garden she weeded and arranged with another friend that came at home a few days too, the garage she has tidied up. It was nice to work with her when I had time, and I could let her work alone with confidence during my absences. We talked a lot about topics of common interest, she practiced French, and I could practice English. In short, for me it was a perfect “worawayeuse”. You can receive it without hesitation !

… read more mistaken. He is trustworthy and has a lot of technical skills. He was exactly the person I needed; and if Manuel could return a few more weeks, it would be with immense pleasure that I would welcome him.
Besides, it was a great pleasure to chat with him and discover his life, and his country through his stories. Manuel is very nice and easygoing, all the time happy. I really appreciated his presence.

J’ai eu beaucoup de chance de recevoir Manuel. Manuel travaille beaucoup et très bien !!!! Il a fait tant de choses dans ma maison que je n’aurais jamais pu faire toute seule, et il l’a fait très bien, écoutant mes demandes et prenant des initiatives pour le faire au mieux. Je suis même étonnée de tout ce qu’il a pu faire en si peu de temps. Je lui ai fait confiance dès le premier jour car il inspire confiance et je ne me suis pas trompée. Il est digne de confiance et a beaucoup de compétences techniques. C’était exactement la personne dont j’avais besoin ; et si Manuel pouvait revenir quelques semaines encore ce serait avec un immense plaisir que je l’accueillerai.
Par ailleurs c’était un grand plaisir de discuter avec lui et de découvrir sa vie, et son pays à travers ses récits. Enfin Manuel est très agréable et facile à vivre, tout le temps content. J’ai beaucoup apprécié sa présence.

One of my best experiences doing Workaway so far, Catherine is such an incredible and smart person, she was always willing to teach me about french culture meanwhile I showed more about mine, whereas she also tried to help me to improve my French, we had great talks about different ways to improve the world where we live in, and how to be more
… read more conscious about what are we putting on our table and taking into our bodies, she always cooked healthy and delicious food using 100% organic ingredients, and of course I learned more about typical French cuisine.
Moreover she was very flexible with the working hours, we had this good agreement where she showed me what she wanted to be done, and then we discussed what would be the best option to do it without using any abrasive or any chemical materials and using eco-construction techniques, which was amazing!! but the most important thing for me it is that she always trusted in me to build and to fix things (mainly carpentry), and of course the fact that I learned how to do it from 100% natural supplies.
My experience with Catherine was simply amazing, I would totally recommend her, not only because she was a great host but because she is a great person who likes to enjoy life and all the little things that make life great, thank you for trusting me and for all the good memories, I hope to see you soon again.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
