We had an absolutely amazing time staying with Sophie and her family!
From the very beginning, they made us feel so welcome and right at home. Sophie and Eric are such wonderful hosts, and their warmth and hospitality made our experience unforgettable.
The work was fun, engaging, flexible and a great learning experience—especially for anyone

Sophie and Eric were also full of great recommendations for things to do in the area, which made our downtime even better.
One of the highlights was being invited to have dinner with their family multiple times—it felt like we were part of their circle. We also had an incredible time kayaking with them to see some seals!
We only wish we could have stayed longer!
Thank you so much for everything, Sophie and Eric—you made our stay truly special.
Dale and Jennifer were amazing to have around; they fitted really well into our sporty / active family. They work hard and above expectations. Dale was amazing at fixing our bikes, weed and mulch the garden. Jennifer was great at weeding and had some good guidance for our rebel teenager. They stayed less than a week but I think we made some

This was our first workaway and it couldn’t have been a more positive experience. Sophie and the family were incredibly welcoming, we had two lovey communal meals together. The work was 3 hours a day 8-11am of weeding, mulching, and gardening. We really appreciated the consistency and clear communication of expectations, as well as the trust and

The house we stayed in was truly a villa, a gorgeous 6 bedroom house with wifi, a washer, kitchen, loads of board games, as well as a games room complete with a pool table, foosball, a Wii, air hockey, and a keyboard. Finishing work at 11am gave us so much freedom to explore, and Sophie invited us kayaking and offered a lot of knowledge of the surrounding area. With a car, new Plymouth is just 10 minutes away, and a beautiful view of Taranaki from the house is an added bonus. So many stars at night, and we especially loved lounging by the swimming pool and visiting the sheep each night. This workaway is truly a hidden gem and we couldn’t recommend it enough.
Molly and Maddie were a pleasure to have. They are very friendly, hardworking, learned quickly and were able to work alone. We mainly did some weeding and they were very efficient.
Gabriela is an amazing cook and great to have around. She is very genuine and hardworking. She can lead a team to cook her Italian meals lol. She is very bubbly and easy to talk to.

We had a great time with Caroline and Marion. They worked hard weeding, picking up manure, composting along all the other workaday who were staying here. We had some amazing dinner together where everybody chipped in to cook.
Staying on Sophie’s farm was the best decision. We shared the big house with a lot of other workawayers and it was so much fun. It was very nice, that you can do lot of things near New Plymouth. Niklas enjoyed the spring rogaine race with Eric. They reached the third place and he was very proud. Ida had the chance to paint the wall in the bathroom

We had a very nice time at Sophie's place. It was our first workaway, and we are very happy of this experience. Sophie helped us a lot, by taking us to some place when our car broke down.

We had a great short stay with Sophie. Her and Eric took us on a hike the first night and we really enjoyed the opportunity to see the beautiful Taranaki landscape from a local point of view. We stayed with Sophie and Eric for a week. We had a big house for ourselves with all of the amenities we could wish for. Our work was easy and varied, they made sure to suit the work to our capabilities. Since we are both photographers, part of our working hours was teaching her daughter, Sarah, about photography, cameras and taking some cute

They are very hospitable hosts, even treated us with a welcoming and farewell meal, which made us feel right at home. Just be aware that you have to supply your own meals, usually. This is no problem, however, the nearest grocery store is a 10 minute drive and even without meals, the experience is definitely worth it! You have a lot of nice hikes and spots around you and Sophie and Eric are very helpful in giving you tips on where to go. We quite recommend staying with them!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

We really enjoyed our stay with Sophie and her family. Their house is beautiful and we felt instantly like at home. Had an amazing time staying at Sophie's and Erik's place! The house is absolutely beautiful and super clean, makes you feel really welcome. There were multiple wwoofers staying at the time, and we all had big dinners in the evening which was really cool. They use the house as airbnb for guests, so sometimes you cannot stay over the weekend but

The work is interesting and easy, as Sophie is developing her garden and has lots of projects going on. The family is super nice and they really included me in their activities and sports, as we went kayaking, mountainbiken, hiking, and running/biking orienteering. They had a bike I could borrow to go into new Plymouth, which was super nice to see some of the city. Sophie was super relaxed and very kind and funny, and went so many times out of her way to pick me up somewhere or to let me have a nice time. Thanks a lot!!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
