Hi!
We are Elo and Dario, a couple in our early 30’s with an 1 y/o old baby and second one on the way. Dario is a sound designer and Elo is a photographer/interior designer, and our family also includes 2 border collies. We also regularly have furry guests through our dogsitting venture - so our house is always full of life!
We love hiking and exploring nature, board and video games, being creative together, meeting new people and exchanging ideas.
We live in a house, which means there are always things to tackle - wether that's maintenance or new projects - and often times our ambition exceeds our own capacity to execute all of them. That's why we're grateful for any help!
Our village is called Treyvaux, it's in the state of Fribourg, close to the the lake de Gruyère and with plenty of beautiful nature spots all around - we’d be happy to tell you all about them. -

Help could include:
-cleaning (windows, floor, furniture, etc.)
-gardening (taking out weeds, trimming, taking care of the grass, etc.)

Other help might include preparing meals and/or taking the dogs for a walk if the feeling with them is good :)
PLEASE READ BEFORE MESSAGING US:
-At the moment we are looking to host one person who would help us with the day-to-day: cooking, cleaning, maybe a few dog walks, small house improvement tasks, etc. If you have experience or interests in kids, dogs, cooking or cleaning - even better!
-Ideal length in november: 2-4 weeks
-Alternatively, as we have quite a few projects pending involving wood, we always strongly favour profiles that have experience in that field.

Unterkunft
We offer a private room with a double bed and a private bathroom (pictured in the description), located in the basement. Our rooms (Dario, Elo, and the baby) are on the 1st floor, which makes it comfortable for everyone to have their own separate space in the house :)
The kitchen is available to make your own breakfast (provided) and we usually share lunches and dinners together.
In the village (8 mins walk) you will find a supermarket, a bakery, a nice restaurant, post office and a florist. There's also a bus stop there that will take you to Fribourg train station/center in about 25 minutes. -
Was noch ...
The village is quiet and peaceful, sheeps, cats and cows are neighboring the house. We really love living in the center of Switzerland and being so close to big cities (Fribourg, Bulle, Bern and Lausanne, easily reachable with the great public transportation system).
Nearby cheese and chocolate factories/museums are a must-see, and leaving without having tried our typical dish “the fondue” would be almost a crime! -

We had to urgently leave another workaway that was going badly and they so kindly offered to host us with another volunteer for a few days !
They made us feel at home and were very thoughtful !
We would gladly come back and stay even longer this time :)
