I was feeling verry welcome and apreciated at her home. Way more like a flatmate than as her worker. She trusted me to do several tasks in her house in my own way and I could work myself trough all the food in her house while she was willing to try lots of my cooking experiments :D.
I would always come back and get my hands on more renovation stuff!

Rachel is kind, generous, humble and interesting. I had lots of freedom and flexibility to arrange my days. Normally I did gardening with cat's company until feeling enough. Thames is a cute town. You can see the water and many birds everyday. Thanks Rachel for supporting me do the pinnacle walk on day off. There are also some beautiful spots for swimming.
I am lucky to be here ❤️ It's a satisfying week.
Thanks, Rachel and Kev, for a very happy and satisfying week with you. We had great conversations and food, the room was comfortable and it was rewarding to see the gardens cleared for planting and mulching.

Astrid was lovely to have in the house, very easy going and happy to fit in with us. Unfortunately we did not get to spend much time with her due to sickness and travel plans. This was my favorite workaway experience! Rachel and Kevin are wonderful people and I really enjoyed staying with them. It felt more like I was staying with old friends. Rachel cooked delicious dinners and we drank delicious wine. They are both are very knowledgeable of NZ and made sure I had time to explore beautiful Thames and surrounding areas.

We really enjoyed having Grace to stay, she was very easy going and worked well. Grace was happy to fit in with us and a couple of late night chats were enjoyed. The work she did was unfortunately hindered by the rainy weather but Grace was happy to work on a project to completion. Highly recommend to all.

We loved having Carla to stay, she was happy to fit in with us and we all got on very well and had a few laughs along the way. Carla was a great worker and was happy to finish a task to completion. She happily weeded or painted or any task asked. Carla was also happy to cook a meal which was awesome. Happily recommend to everyone.

I spent a week at Rachel’s home and I definitely should have stayed longer. Rachel and Kev are such lovely people and they are treating you more as a family member than as a workawayer. The work isn’t hard, I did lots of painting and weeding, mostly 4 hours a day.
