Hi, I am Sophia and 28 years old.

I traveled most of New Zealand’s beautiful backcountry during the last months and am looking for a great stay at the end of my travels. I finished my bachelor's degree in January 2025 and fulfilled my dream to come to New Zealand exploring this beautiful country.
I started my time here in New Zealand with some Woraway stays on the North Island, helping with gardening, household chores, learning how to paint and different tasks outdoor while helping an off grid sanctuary. I enjoyed meeting locals and learn about their lifestyle and culture. I am open to help with whatever tasks need to be done and am keen to learn some new skills on the way too.

I come from a small village in Germany and love being in nature and around any kind of animals. I've been around dogs since my early childhood and also started horse riding early on. Whenever possible, I like to go outside for a walk or bike ride to explore my surroundings, often accompanied by my camera as I like nature photography. Small things make me happy like being around animals, enjoying a sky full of stars, birds singing, listening to music as well as cooking and eating tasty food.

Looking forward to meet new people from all around the world and contribute and learn new skills along the way.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience in gardening and household cleaning which I did back home and also during prior volunteering in England, South Africa and here in New Zealand. As I enjoy being outside I don't mind the weather around me while tidying the garden, mowing, taking care of animals. I also have prior experience as a waitress and helping out in the kitchen/ cooking. Coming from a winery, I have some experience in helping out during botteling and packaging as well as further things being done in the cellar. I enjoy working in a team and being on time and especially finishing up tasks before ending the day which was important during my time working as a lab technician. I just learned some skills in sanding and painting while helping doing so in a household.
Overall, I am well-organized, responsible, hard-working and enjoy helping others.

Was noch ...

I love to learn new skills and techniques as well as improve my creativity in different areas. I am interested in art and music and enjoy cooking as I find it relaxing. I mainly cook vegetarian food from all around the world and always like to try new things. I enjoy sharing time with others by playing card or board games but also need some personal space from time to time.
