  This spring 2026, various infrastructures will need to be installed, either outdoors or in the workshop, such as a garden shed, compost bins, shelves and other storage spaces for equipment and tools, and so on.
  
  These projects will take shape alongside the garden work, sowing, planting, maintenance, etc.
  
  The pond is done, it's a real pleasure to take brakes nearby!
  In autumn 2023, about 100 more trees have been planted, of all kinds: pears, cherries, quinces, figues (lets take the best of the warming up...!) different berries, and plenty more varieties of local small trees which will provide food for the birds, insects and shelter for all sorts of small animals, hedgehogs and all, and wood for BRF.
  They are growing well, several swales have been set down the field to keep the ground wet.
  
  The walipini green house built in the spring 2024 has been doing really well these last two winters, providing lettuces, spinach and other vegies despite the low temperature up here in the mountain.
  
  I am a sculptor, passionate gardener, mum of three independent adult girls, therapist.
  Patrick is a moutain dweller, a builder, a gardener and lots of other things!
  The 18th century farm has been renovated with natural materials, great pleasure and interest in the traditional building technics.
  We are very involved in a daily practice of agroecology, and ecological way of life and consuming.
  
  Up 900 m on the Jura,, between lake and mountain, we live on a big organic vegetable garden surrounded by fruit trees of all sorts, Following the planets rhythm, it's possible to grow most of the food necessary throughout the year.
  The place provides experience in gardening, taking care of the hens and learning more how to understand and respect mother earth.
  
  The lake nearby provides very nice and refreshing brakes, during summer and winter! The village is surrounded by woods and offers plenty of walks in beautiful nature.
  
  Since there has been a bit of trouble with one workawayer who wanted meat on the three daily meals , we need to mention that although we are not vegetarian, meat is not often on the menu. It doesn't suit our ethic nor our budget!
  We eat organic vegetables and fruits from the garden, eggs from our chicken, other complements from organic local producers, cheese made in the local "fromagerie".
  
  Ce printemps 2026, différentes infrastructures seront à mettre en place, soit à l'extérieur, soit dans l'atelier, telles qu'une cabane de jardin, des boxes à compost, des étagères et autres espaces de rangement du matériel et de l'outillage, et autres.
  Ces projets prendront forme parallèlement aux travaux de jardin, semis, plantations, entretien, etc...
  
  Durant l'automne 2023, plus de cent nouveaux nouveaux arbres ont été plantés, avec l'aide fantastique de workawayers! Le verger s'est agrandi avec une dizaine d'arbres fruitiers de toutes sortes: cerisiers, poiriers, cognassiers, figuier (autant tirer le meilleur du réchauffement climatique!) ainsi que plein de variétés locales d'arbustes fournissant de la nourriture et un habitat pour les oiseaux, les insectes, les hérissons ainsi que du bois pour faire du BRF.
  Ils poussent bien, les rigoles d'irrigation aménagées tout au long du terrain en pente maintiennent le terrain bien humide et tous les arbres semblent avoir bien pris.
  
  La serre walipini construite au printemps 2024 fonctionne très bien. Ces deux derniers hivers, salades, épinards, colraves, choux et autres légumes poussent malgré les températures parfois très basses ici en montagne.
  
  Sculptrice, jardinière passionnée, maman de trois grandes filles indépendantes, thérapeute, j’aime développer, apprendre encore et toujours, à travailler la terre en respectant ce qu’elle nous offre si généreusement!
  Patrick est un montagnard expérimenté, constructeur et jardinier, entre autres choses!
  La rénovation de la ferme du 18 ème a été réalisée avec des matériaux naturels et beaucoup de plaisir et d'intérêt pour les anciennes méthodes de construction.
  
  Nous sommes très engagés dans une pratique agroécologique, ainsi qu'un mode de vie et de consommation écologique.
  Bien que non végétariens, il n'y a pas souvent de la viande au menu, mais des légumes et fruits bio du jardin, des œufs du poulailler, et d'autres compléments de producteurs locaux bio, du bon fromage de la fromagerie toute proche.
  
  Nous tenons à le préciser après quelques soucis avec un workawayer qui exigeait d'avoir de la viande au petit déjeuner, à midi et le soir... ceci n'est pas en accord avec nos convictions environnementales ni dans notre budget...!
  
  A 900 m d’altitude, entre lac et montagne, un grand potager bio offre de quoi se nourrir toute l'année, entouré d’un verger de toutes sortes d’arbres aux fruits particuliers, cultivé en suivant le rythme des planètes. De quoi se ressourcer, se nourrir et un lac tout proche pour aller se rafraîchir, y compris l'hiver...! Le village est entouré de forêts et pâturages, offrant de multiples promenades dans un paysage magnifique.

  Various activities, very beautiful region and places to discover, we speak English & French. Professional experience in social field to share, as well as in agriculture and gardening. Experience of the renovation of the farm now completed (more than 25 years of work) made with natural materials and ancient technics.
  Mostly, We believe that, now more than ever, we have to develop a sense of sharing, of working together, of being more and more self sufficient in terms of food growing, but also in many other fields...!
  
  Activités diverses, région très belle et riche en lieux à découvrir, nous parlons anglais et français. Expérience professionnelle dans le social/thérapeutique,, ainsi qu'en agriculture, jardinage et construction.
  Expérience de la rénovation de la ferme - maintenant terminée (25 ans de travaux) réalisée avec des matériaux naturels et des techniques anciennes.
  Nous sommes convaincus que plus que jamais, nous avons à découvrir comment vivre ensemble, partager, travailler ensemble et devenir autonomes pour notre alimentation, et bien d'autres domaines...!

  Unterkunft

  Rooms are available within our apartment. Meals are prepared and shared, and household chores are also included. Meals are primarily based on organic vegetables grown on-site or sourced from nearby farms. Internet/Wi-Fi is available but only connected when needed, not continuously, to minimize exposure to electromagnetic waves.

  Chambres au sein de notre appartement. Préparation des repas à partager, ainsi que partage des tâches ménagères d'entretien de la maison. Les repas sont principalement à base de légumes bio cultivés sur place ou provenant de fermes des environs.
  Internet / wifi disponible mais connecté lorsque nécessaire, pas en permanence afin de limiter les ondes.

  -Lots of beautiful walks in the Jura mountain on which the village is, with caves to visit, a magnificent lake for swimming, sailing, a nearby medieval castle, a spa town center 15 km away and the Alps a little further for trekking...

  A cinema nearby that shows very good movies and documentaries!
  -Public transport by postal coaches.
  
  -Your visit is welcomed if you are ready to take an interest and get involved in the proposed projects, in all conviviality and commitment!

  -Plein de belles balades dans le Jura sur lequel le village se trouve, avec des grottes à visiter, un lac magnifique où se baigner, naviguer, un château médiéval tout proche, un centre-ville thermal à 15 kms et les Alpes un peu plus loin pour du trekking...
  -Site de parapente tout proche.
  -Il y a un très bon cinéma tout proche qui projette d'excellents films en avant première avec réalisateurs et plein de très intéressants documentaires!
  -Transport public jusqu'au village en car postal.
