***We have all the volunteers we need for the next few months. If we require more help, we’ll update the profile. Wishing you safe travels and wonderful adventures!***

Hello! We are Stéphane and Ladina, living in the picturesque village of Mur (part of Vully-Les-Lacs), nestled between the stunning lakes of Morat and Neuchatel in Switzerland. Our home is a haven of peace where we enjoy the company of our rescue animals, the German Shepherd Ley, our cat Grischa, and our three friendly chickens: Bernina, Giülia, and Alvra. We are seasoned travelers and multilingual, speaking French, German, English, Italian, and a little Spanish. We are excited to share our space and culture with you!

Mur is a paradise for those who cherish the outdoors. The area offers endless opportunities for adventure and relaxation. You can explore scenic trails and pathways that meander through the countryside and along the shores of Lake Morat and Lake Neuchatel. If you're into watersports, the lakes provide a perfect setting for sailing, surfing, and foiling. For those who love mountain adventures, the Jura Mountains are nearby, offering invigorating hikes and stunning views.

After a day full of activities, our spacious garden is the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the tranquility. Whether you're basking in the sun or simply taking in the peaceful surroundings, you'll find our garden a perfect spot to relax and recharge.

We live on the border between the French and German-speaking regions of Switzerland, an area rich in culture and famous for its excellent wine. Morat, at a 15 minute drive to the other side of the lake, is one of Switzerland's most enchanting medieval towns. With its well-preserved walls and charming old town, Morat (also known as Murten) offers a glimpse into history while providing modern delights, from vibrant festivals to cozy cafes.

Profile photo of Bernina, Flüela, Margna, Giüglia

    Bernina, Flüela, Margna, Giüglia

Meet Bernina, Flüela, Margna & Giüglia – four fabulous rescue hens living their best life in a lush garden paradise. Each one has her own quirky personality, and together they bring joy, curiosity, and more eggs than we ever dreamed of. From sunbathing to gossiping by the compost pile, these girls have turned their second chance into a feathery celebration of life — and we’re just lucky to be part of their flock.

    Profile photo of Grischa

    Grischa

Introducing Grischa – our fierce and fabulous Tunisian rescue cat, and the undisputed boss of the household. She graces us with her presence mostly in exchange for food… and she’s not above stealing it (or your seat) if you’re not paying attention. Equal parts diva and cuddle monster, Grischa might curl up on your lap one minute and swat you the next — just to remind you who's in charge. She’ll steal your snacks, your heart, and your personal space, but somehow, you’ll love her all the more for it.

    Profile photo of Txuri

    Txuri

Meet Txuri – a striking blend of Labrador and Pyrenean Mountain Dog, with a heart as big as her muscles. She's our courageous foster girl, still finding her footing in a noisy world that sometimes feels a bit too overwhelming. Loud sounds make her anxious, and she's still learning to trust, but beneath that worry lies a truly incredible dog in the making. Every day she shows more curiosity, resilience, and sweetness. We don’t know how long she’ll be with us—but what we do know is that Txuri is on her way to becoming one of the most wonderful companions anyone could ever hope for.

Profile photo of Ley, German Shepherd

    Ley, German Shepherd

Meet Ley – a lovable, goofy soul wrapped in a majestic German Shepherd coat. Equal parts athlete and cuddle buddy, he's always up for an adventure but happiest lounging calmly at home with hisnfavorite humans. With a sharp mind that sometimes leads to a bit of overthinking, this sensitive pup brings laughter, love, and the occasional dramatic sigh. Though brave on the outside, he struggles with being alone—proving that even the toughest-looking companions can have the softest hearts.
