Es ist schon eine Weile her, seit ich Ihr gemütliches Zuhause verlassen habe, aber ich erzähle immer noch allen meinen Freunden, wie glücklich ich bin, mich für Brittany und Sie entschieden zu haben. … read more ich die Pflanzen, die in der Bretagne wachsen, besser kennengelernt habe und es Spaß gemacht hat zu sehen, wie sich die Umgebung jeden Tag verändert und schöner wird. Ich habe Ihre Interessen, Ihren Optimismus und Ihre Lebensfreude bewundert, die Sie so großzügig mit anderen Menschen teilen. Danke, dass Sie mir die kleine Städte und Gemeinden in Finestere gezeigt haben, danke für das sehr leckere und biologische Essen, das ich jeden Tag genossen habe: selbstgebackenes Brot, Eier, Lachs, Käse – ich kann gar nicht alles aufzählen. Es war eine großartige Gelegenheit, in der Natur und gleichzeitig direkt am Meer zu sein und fantastische Sonnenuntergänge zu erleben. Durch die Abende mit Ihnen fühlte ich mich wie ein Teil der Familie und war gleichzeitig froh, einen separaten, gemütlichen Privatraum auf dem Dachboden zu haben. Aber was mich am meisten berührt hat, war die Freundlichkeit, Liebe und Hingabe Ihres Herzens, mit der Sie Ihr Haus in Saint Nic gebaut und gepflegt haben. … read more Kiosk draussen im Garten, konnten wir uns viel austauschen und von deinem Leben, Kultur usw. in Litauen erfahren. Sprachlich hatten wir keine Probleme da Dein Deutsch quasi perfekt ist und so hast Du dich so gut eingebracht, hast uns Dinge erzählt die wir noch nicht kannten.
Nicht nur dass Du überall geholfen hast ohne dass wir dich extra darum gebeten haben, hast Du in der Küche sowie draussen Deine Kraft eingesetzt. Was uns besonders erfreut hat war Deine Kochkunst mit ganz neuen Rezepten für uns.
Du bist uns zu einer lieben Freundin geworden. Nicht nur wir sondern auch unsere drei Hühner werden dich
vermissen. Nicole ist heute heimgeflogen und nun sind wir wieder ganz auf uns gestellt.

I loved working in your big garden even though the weather didn't cooperate some of the days. It was beautiful to see how you lived, how much you cared about each other, all the details in the house and your routines. Thank you for telling me stories, showing me photos and feeding my curiosity with such openness.
It was my pleasure to cook for you a couple of times after so many delicious meals you prepared, they were the best I've ever had!!
I learned so much from you. From ice cream and bread making with Dieter, how to smoke salmon, how to tricot with Eva, and your love for travelling, cooking, and old cars. I also had the opportunity to witness your way of living which was quite inspiring.
Thank you for showing me around the area, I will send you the photos very soon!
And I'll have to agree that it was quite sad to say goodbye to both of you when my time came to an end. You and Britanny treated me so well, I will have to come back to explore more and I am sure we'll see each other again!
I couldn't recommend enough to stay with Eva and Dieter whether it's your first experience or not. I'm sure you won't regret it!!

Dear Celine,
we would like to thank you very much for your visit from December 2nd. until 17.12. We have been a bit surprised when said that you will comme this period, as this time there are mostly storms and rain in Brittany. Of course we told you this, but you said it will not be a problem.
We got along very well straight away and after a few
… read more days it was as if we had a visit from one of our children, the difference being that they don't like working in the garden as much as you did.
You were very open-minded and interested in everything you saw here around and, as you often said, learned a lot.
You often amazed us how naturally and without any major problems you worked, for example cut down the blackberry hedges with the hedge trimmer, which was a huge relief for us.
It was also very nice cooking with you. You surprised us by preparing a delicious bacalhau or this mashed potatos with minced meat, so "Dieter's" potato salad was no competition for you.
Eva was thrilled that you immediately saw where you could get things done in and around the house.
In summary, we can say that we were very happy that you were with us and, as you probably noticed, we were very sorry when the time was up and you had to go back to your family. We hope to see you again, either in Portugal or Brittany.

Simply said : Mercè and Elies have been both fantastic. It was our first experience with Workaway, friends had recommended this organisation to us and we were excited to experience it firsthand.
Mercè and Elies arrived on August 6th and we immediately realised that we would get along very well.
The next morning we shared our wishes with them and
… read more they took it up enthusiastically. So they worked 5 hours a day, a few times even in the rain, but mostly the Breton weather was kind and everything went accordingly to plan.
It was a great pleasure for us to see how our property was slowly turning into a beautiful park. As a well-deserved consideration, the host made a big effort and served delicious food at mealtime.
We had a lot of fun together and the last two days before her departure on August 17th. the pleasure of having an original paella and tapas served next day by Elies with Mercè's help.
It was with great regret that we had to let her go home at the end of her pleasant stay. But we hope to keep in touch and see them again.
We spent almost two weeks with Eva and Dieter. They are affectionate, attentive and cheerful.
We worked in the garden weeding, pruning, clearing dry stone benches and passing the brush cutter.
We had a very cozy space to ourselves consisting of a bedroom, a bathroom and a huge living room with a pool table.
