Welcome to My Peaceful Thai Retreat in Sisaket! 🌳✨

Hi, I’m Nok, a Thai pharmacist currently living and working in the Netherlands. While pursuing my career abroad, I’ve also been working on building my dream retreat in Sisaket, Thailand—a serene escape from the chaos of life.

I’ve purchased three plots of land to create this sanctuary. Two plots are adjacent to each other, while the third is 500 meters away. The first plot features a tiny house (knockdown style), a garden, and a fish pond. The second plot comes with another tiny house and a developing food forest filled with edible fruit trees. By the end of this year, I’m planning to build a small, cozy new house on the second plot.

This retreat reflects my dream of reconnecting with nature, living sustainably, and creating a space where like-minded people from around the world can gather and experience the peaceful countryside of Thailand. However, as I’m based in the Netherlands, I rely heavily on trust when allowing guests to stay and contribute.

What You Should Know Before Coming

    1. This Is Not a Hotel
My retreat is a personal project, not a commercial accommodation. There is no staff to assist you, and guests are expected to take care of themselves. If you’re looking for luxury or constant attention, this may not be the right place for you.
    2. Self-Sufficiency Is Key
    • Be prepared to handle day-to-day tasks independently. My retired mother occasionally visits to water plants or maintain the property, but she is over 60 years old and cannot attend to every request. Please respect her time and space.
    3. Mutual Respect and Responsibility
    • I have unfortunately experienced cases where guests caused damage, left trash, overused resources (like leaving the air conditioner on all day), or created conflicts with my mother. These behaviors are not acceptable.
    • Guests are expected to be responsible for their actions, treat the property with care, and be considerate of the local culture.
    4. A Cultural Exchange, Not a Free Stay
    • This retreat is about connecting with nature, experiencing local life, and contributing to sustainable living—not simply about staying for free.
    5. Energy and Resource Conservation
    • Electricity, including air conditioning, is limited. If you use the air conditioner, a small contribution of 100 baht per day will be appreciated to cover electricity costs. Otherwise, electric fans are available for free use.
    6. Why You Should Join Us
    • If you genuinely love nature, want to experience the authentic Thai countryside, and are ready to embrace a lifestyle of simplicity and sustainability, this retreat is for you.

    Guidelines for Staying

    • Cleanliness and Order: Keep the house and surroundings clean. Trash should be properly disposed of before you leave.
    • Respect Local Culture: My mother may enter the property to water plants or check on things. Please allow her access without interference.
    • Use Facilities Responsibly: If using the jacuzzi or other features, please ensure they are left in good condition.
    • Be Self-Sufficient: You’ll need to manage your own meals and basic needs during your stay.

    A Note from the Heart

This project means a lot to me. It’s a dream I’m working on from afar, while balancing a full-time job abroad. I truly hope to find guests who share my love for nature, respect the hard work that has gone into creating this retreat, and value the cultural exchange that comes with staying here.

If you think this sounds like a meaningful experience, I’d love to welcome you to my retreat. Let’s build connections, share stories, and find peace together in the heart of Thailand’s countryside.

    Warm regards,
    Nok

**“Welcome to a place built not just with bricks and wood, but with dreams and kindness. Here, we exchange stories, skills, and laughter—not money. Every tree planted, every blade of grass tended, every moment shared adds to the soul of this space.

This is not just a house; it’s a living canvas for those who seek to give and grow, to create and connect. Stay a while, leave a piece of yourself, and take with you a piece of something greater—hope, inspiration, and a sense of belonging.”**

“This is a home for dreamers, doers, and givers. A place where we build not just walls, but a sense of connection. Leave your mark, take a memory, and help this space grow into something extraordinary.”
