  Be part of our tree house hotel 🌲🌙
  
  From March to October 2026, we welcome Workawayers to join our small team in central Germany (Hessen, Kassel). We ask for a minimum stay of three months. This is a tree house hotel where hospitality, gastronomy, and craftsmanship meet. We value good food, thoughtful design, art, team spirit, top service and a grounded way of living close to nature. We also enjoy social life, events, and occasional celebrations.
  
  Since this is a paid position with German minimum wage, we can only accept applicants who are legally allowed to work in Germany. If you are an EU/EEA or Swiss citizen, you are free to work here. If you are from outside the EU, you must already have a valid German work visa or residence permit that allows employment. Unfortunately we cannot sponsor visas.
  
  ⭐️ This is a paid position with accommodation included.
  Accommodation is shared between the Workawayers in two separate houses at the hotel area, each house with two beds, WiFi, and a small chill area in one of the houses. Toilets and showers are in a building a few meters from the houses.
  You’ll have access to the restaurant kitchen (we are in the process of looking into kitchen solutions in the Workaway houses as well). Some meals we cook and eat together; other days you’re free to cook yourself.
  
  🚞 Getting here:
  The nearest city is Göttingen. From there, you can take a train to Gertenbach where the hotel is located. It’s approximately a 45-minute walk from Gertenbach to the hotel, therefore 1-2 of you need to have a drivers license. We arrange pickup on arrival and drop-off when you leave.
  
  🌻 Location & surroundings:
  We are surrounded by forests and quiet nature. In the area you’ll find beautiful nature, hiking trails, forests and scenic viewpoints. There is a historic castle nearby and several small villages worth visiting. The nearest bigger city is Göttingen – a university town full of cafés, shops and culture.
  Berlin is about 3,5h away and Hamburg 3h away by car.

  Arbeit

  🔎 We are looking for 4 skilled, motivated, hard working people with experience or a strong passion in one or more of the following:
  • Gastronomy & kitchen duties
  • Service & guest care
  • Woodwork, or hands-on building
  • General maintenance (cleaning, fixing, all arounder)
  • Creative & well-being coach (art, yoga, music — other passions you might have)
  • Graphic design & understanding of branding
  • Gardening & permaculture
  
  More exact working tasks will be shared.
  
  At least 1-2 people need to have a drivers license.

  7 hours/day, 5 days/week with the German minimum wage each hour worked.
  
  We value experienced people that want to stay for a long time (minimum 3 months).
  
  📝 Speaking English is required; German is a strong plus. Our team speaks German, Swedish, English, Italian and some Spanish.
