… read more gemeinsame Arbeiten sehr geschätzt.
Takuto and Azusa stayed with us for just over two weeks, and it was an absolute pleasure having them on the farm. They were incredibly diligent and precise in their work, following instructions to perfection while often thinking ahead and identifying tasks without needing direction. They were always polite, respectful, and approachable, making them a joy to work with and be around. On top of that, they are fantastic cooks! Every meal they prepared was delicious, and they brought a special touch to our shared dinners.
Despite English being a new language for them, communication was excellent. They made every effort to express themselves clearly, and we never faced any issues. Their eagerness to connect and contribute was evident in every interaction.
We wholeheartedly recommend Takuto and Azusa to any host looking for hardworking, thoughtful, and kind volunteers. We hope our paths cross again in the future and wish them all the best in their journey! 😊
Warm regards,
Freya & David
We stayed at David and Freya's farm for two weeks and had a wonderful experience with them.
They have a lot of experience accepting many people through WWOOF.
They were polite and easy to understand, even for us who were volunteering for the first time, and they showed us how to do it.
We have a meeting every morning to review tasks and make sure
… read more what we have to do is clear.
We mainly worked in the garden, carrying soil to make garden beds, collecting fallen leaves, chipping branches, pulling weeds, planting seedlings and seeds, etc.
There was a lot to do, but they never pressured us, watched over our work, and helped us when we had problems.
We were able to use the kitchen and living room for volunteers freely.
They go shopping for food once a week.
We could eat vegetables from the field and enjoy fresh vegetables.
We prepared our own breakfast and lunch.
On the five working days a week, we took turns cooking dinner and we all ate vegetarian food.
All the food they cooked was delicious.
Our bedroom was on the second floor, and we spent our time quietly and relaxing together.
It was cold in November, with temperatures below 10 degrees, but the room was very warm.
We spent our two days off a week doing what we liked.
We had a bonfire together, went to an event in Börm, went to the bakery next door, and had a lot of fun outside of volunteering on their farm.
Thank you for letting us stay and giving us the opportunity to think about farming, food and life.
We wish you all the best and wish your farm continued success.

My two weeks in August 2024 in Börm want by in a flash. Freya and David bought the farm two years ago and embarked on a permaculture journey, documenting their progress on their vlog and socials. We were accompanied by a previous volunteer, who was staying longer and working on a camper-van in the workshop.
I was mainly weeding the veggie-garden
… read more or harvesting apples. We also made apple puree on a wood-fire stove and used a 3-in-1 apple peeler-slicer-core remover tool.
I was quite independent, I had my own kitchen where I prepared breakfast and lunch, and a huge space in the attic all for myself. We usually had dinners together.
In my free-time I went biking to the neighbouring villages and visited a stork info-centre or went for a swim to the nearby Alte Sorge backwater. On my free days I visited the Viking museum of Haithabu and Schleswig or took a day trip to Flensburg.
I was also quite lucky because during my stay I got to be part of two birthday celebrations. One was held at the farm, with friends coming over and enjoying a bonfire & grill, the other actually in the stork info-centre in Bergenhusen! Both events were real fun as I was able to meet interesting and motivating people! 😊
I really recommend stopping! Freya, David I wish you all the best! 😊Vom Host für Workawayer (Peter)
Peter was an absolute pleasure to have on our farm. He was reliable, motivated, and always ready to help out. His friendly nature made him a great fit with everyone here, and he jumped into every task with enthusiasm. We highly recommend Peter to any future hosts—he’s someone you can count on to be both helpful and a positive presence :)

I got to know Freya and David as super relaxed and really nice people. In the two weeks in which I was admitted to their home, there was a lot going on, but we woofer/workawayer didn't notice anything about the stress they were experiencing, they could separate them so well! They are super hard working and you can feel that they love this place so

Thank you for all the memories I was able to make, from the latenight swims, the campfire exchange, the cooking and baking, the chicken and the whole community!Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

I am truly very happy and thankful that I could stay for 2 weeks with Freya, David and all community members on their fairy farm. 🫠 The projects I had the opportunity to work on, were very various. I was working in the garden for example mulching vegetable beds, planting tomatoes, building support constructions for them, then preparing information
… read more board for the farm festival, they would have in July. :) For this ocassion were me and Freya delivering invitations for all the people in the village and that was really fun! Helping on the farm was very enjoyable, whenever I had some problem Freya, David or other community members helped me very willingly. Freya, David are both very nice funny hardworking humans with opened mind, who are building such a nice place to live on. I thank you a lot for chilled fire evening, community dinners, all new informations, skills, funny memories and all the kindness! 🫶Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
