Jonah was a great help! He caught on quickly and needed little guidance with the tasks given. It was great sharing meals together and learning about Germany. Jonah stayed with us for a week, cooked us a meal and fed the chickens and pigs daily. We would be happy to host him anytime again!

It was my joy and pleasure to have done my first workaway at Erin and Lee’s homestead. They and their family were so welcoming to me. From a sweet accommodation in their RV along with some great eggs and meat, I enjoyed my time out in the country, immersed in the wonders of nature, while getting to know and learn from their family. I partook in
… read more memorable experiences such as a birthday celebration, stargazing shooting stars, and a dip in the Atlantic, while learning about how to feed the animals, cut trees, what it takes to run a homestead, and many more. Lee and Erin also generously shared their knowledge about holistic health, which I found to be very interesting.
My stay had to end abruptly due to a family emergency, but I very much appreciate Lee and Erin’s support and reassurances during that time.
I left their homestead with many lessons and fond memories with each member of their family. My best wishes to them and until we meet again.Vom Host für Workawayer (John)
It was a pleasure to get to know John! He was an enthusiastic worker eager to learn how to navigate our farm. John asked lots of questions to ensure he was doing his work properly and efficiently. We enjoyed many meals with John and enjoyed his company while he stayed with us. We wish John the best of luck and hope to meet again in the future.
Cyane and Alexandre were a pleasure to host! Very helpful for our little family to have them. While here they helped to feed our pigs and chickens and did a few odd jobs with Lee that needed attention. They were eager to help but we didn't have a lot of work due to the extreme heat we were having. It was nice to have them join us for some meals
… read more and get to know them. They stayed in our RV and left it sparkling clean afterwards. A very kind and courteous couple that I am sure would be a benefit to any workaway host. Both are very modest about their English which I found to be much better than my French! They are very well spoken and communication was easy and we had a few laughs when things were misunderstood. I wish them all the best on their adventures and hope our paths may cross again one day.
We are french and we stayed as a couple at Erin & Lee's for about two weeks. It was our first woofing experience and everything went very well. The family is adorable. They live in a small town in New Brunswick and have a farm with animals (laying hens, chickens, pigs, dogs, cats, goat). We were accommodated in their caravan on their property with
… read more water, electricity, gas and toilets. We were independent and had our privacy. A hot shower is available outside the caravan or at their house inside if necessary.
Our job at Erin and Lee's was mainly to feed and move the animals (especially the chickens and pigs) in the morning around 7 or 8 a.m. and some in the evening between 4 and 6 p.m. We also sometimes helped Lee with different tasks for the farm. There is no public transportation from Blackville but they lent us bikes and drove us to several places and towns to visit and do activities, sometimes with or without them. In Blackville there is a park, a river for swimming and some shops, you can also fish and hike. It's a quiet place with very welcoming people. We weren't bored! We regularly ate with the family (they have two children) and other times cooked our meals at the caravan using the kitchenette. The family had given us something to cook for ourselves and had very good fresh eggs from their farm.
We will keep very good memories of this experience, thank you!
