  Landscaping project- Workaway crew
  
  Lakefront landscaping in Sudbury Ontario. Although my home and usual workaway is in Muskoka Ontario, I have a 3 month landscaping project in Sudbury this summer starting in June. The project is for one of the biggest homes in Sudbury. I will be renting an Airbnb house or cottage (will be booking early May) in Sudbury, to work Monday-Friday. You would get the option of staying in Sudbury on weekends, or visiting Muskoka. Sudbury is nice because working in the city there are no bugs during bug season. The work will consist of natural rock installations such as walls, steps, flagstone walkways and patios, gardening, river rock, mulch, triple mix, topsoil, wooden garden structures, interlock etc.
  
  The plan is to get a crew of about 4 people to work on this project. Although the usual Workaway in Muskoka is fairly laidback, for this project, I do need Workawayers who have experience with hands-on work for full days. If you are not experienced with working steady full days I will not be able to keep you on this project site. If you lack experience but know how to work steady and have a professional attitude, feel free to message me and talk about it! I am happy to teach, as I will be on site. It should be noted phones are only to be used on breaks. We are fairly chill, with typical days being from 9am-6pm. Pay will be between $18 for low experience up to $30 for skilled trades. Must have proper working visa. Accommodations provided, but not food. Trips to town, grocery stores etc provided. Adventures & Canadian experiences provided :)
  
  As someone who has also done lots of travelling, I know what guests are looking for... Outside of work, I take workawayers into the local community, go to the recreation center, see local sites, and arrange trips on weekends or at the end of the project. This summer, I would like to take some weekend backcountry canoeing & camping trips, as well as a BIG trip at the end of the project. Weekend trip ideas would be Lake Superior Provincial Park, Spanish River Provincial Park, Killarney Provincial Park. If you are up for these types of easier trips on weekends you could be a good fit! At the end of the project, towards August, I would like to arrange a large trip to Auyuittuq National Park on Baffin Island for those who are interested, check this place out on a map :) People with experience camping in the backcountry would be a great fit!
  
  My Muskoka, Ontario property that is in a lot of the photos, is a 150 acre riverfront property with over 2km of private shoreline and two waterfalls, it is where my usual Workaway/life/business is which is why I kept the photos. In the summer, I run an adventure business from this property. I am renovating the house on the river right now. Weekends could be spent in your own cabin on the river if you want to come down from Sudbury.

  Arbeit

  There are four different roles, so different jobs for everyone... but between four people: Cutting granite stone, placing flagstone, levelling gravel bases, using laser levels, shovelling, spreading dirt, placing river rock, planting trees bushes and flowers, raking, spreading mulch, raking beach, installing garden fencing, building & painting garden structures etc. There will be someone on site to guide/instruct. It is a good opportunity to learn very valuable life skills.

  Unterkunft

  In Sudbury, I will be renting a cottage, or house for 4 workawayers. You will have your own private room, with shared bathrooms/house. I will do my best to make sure everyone is a good fit, similar age, similar interests, as meeting other workawayers is a big part of the experience and reason you come to Canada :) If coming to Muskoka on weekends etc., you will have a cabin to stay in on the river.

  In Muskoka, my small town is 350 people. We have a brewery, small town pub, restaurants, cafe, general store etc. About 15 minutes away there two other towns of 15,000 people for more shopping/outings etc. Muskoka is known for cottaging, camps, tourism and beautiful nature.
  
  Sudbury, where the project June-August is, is a city in the middle of the forest and it has 170,000 people. Check it out on a map, it's a cool spot.
