  Hi,we are Cheryl and Martyn and we live in the lovely NSW Central Coast town of Ettalong Beach. Our two children have grown and flown so there’s just us with our friendly Griffon dog, Razzo.
  We’ve been living here for four years and love the coastal lifestyle here on the Peninsula. There is a choice of 3 beaches within walking distance and dozens more within a short drive. Many bush walks dot the area among the National parks, whilst the capital city of Sydney is just over an hour’s train ride from our local station of Woy Woy.
  We have two bicyclesto explore the surrounding areas, a stand up paddleboard and a couple of bodyboards available for you to use. The pool out the back is a great place to cool off and we enjoy cooking on the BBQ and eating outdoors on hot summers nights. Cheryl is an excellent cook, and Martyn wields a great pair of tongs on the BBQ!
  Workaway couples have a private room with a queen bed and share the bathroom with the single room.
  In return for food and lodging, we would require our workaways to help with household maintenance, gardening and general housekeeping.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We are an Australian couple. Martyn was born in the UK, coming out to Australia with his family at the age of seven. We have travelled a lot and lived overseas as expatriates in Thailand, Japan and Singapore.
  When our children were younger, we lived in Wollongong, near to the university and hosted overseas students regularly. The cultural exchange between these students and our family was a rich and rewarding one, and enduring friendships forged. We hope to now share experiences and knowledge with Workawayers for our mutual benefit.

  Arbeit

  Being an older couple, we find larger tasks more difficult. We would appreciate help with outdoor house maintenance, painting of the cabana and staining the deck as well as some light gardening. Inside, we would like the workaways help with some room painting and general housework. General DIY knowledge would help, but Martyn would be there to assist and we shave a pretty good selection of tools to help the jobs!

  Unterkunft

  We have two private rooms- a single bed for solo travellers, and a queen sized bed for couples. Both of these rooms share a bathroom with a shower, bath, toilet and vanity. We ask that rooms be kept in a relatively today state and Workaways tend to their own laundry and ironing.
  Meals will be prepared and eaten in a communal space. Breakfast is a help-yourself affair, with clean ups a shared task. Lunches and dinners will be prepared by Cheryl every second day with the Workaways requested to reciprocate. Cleanups will be a shared task.
  We have fast internet for you to communicate with your loved ones back home and plenty of board games to play in the evenings you stay in.

  Time off will be a big part of your holiday! Workawayers who like beaches will love our area! 3 beaches within walking distance, and many more a short dive away. Local shops, cafes, clubs,bars, cinema are all a flat walk away,and more can be accessed by local buses. Sydney and all it has to offer is a little over an hour by train from Woy Woy station, 3km away.
  We have 2 bicycles that our Workaways are welcome to use, and a SUP and bodyboards to use too. Those who like bushwalking will enjoy the local National Parks around us, or just relax by our pool and swim or read or work on your tan.
  We are an easy-going couple with few house rules, the exception being a strict no-smoking policy. We want to live with mutual respect for cultural mores and a harmonious existence.And for you to love our dog Razzo as we do!
