  The place is a theatre centre in the heart of Salento.
  It offers a variety of different spaces, as it has been converted from a former brick factory.
  For over 20 years, in addition to hosting annual and summer festivals, the theatre has been a key landmark in the social life of the city. From collaborations with schools and universities to artist residencies, it is an essential and vibrant melting pot of cultures and societies, facilitating open dialogue between different realities.

  Being in a theatre centre compels a total immersion in the local and national culture. Living these spaces will allow the travellers to appreciate all the mechanisms that lie behind the final shows and events. The travellers will have the opportunity to enter into contact with many different cultures, as the theatre often hosts foreign companies that bring their own heritage onto the stage. Finally, the theatre is strongly connected to the urban fabric, ensuring travellers to truly experience the city of Lecce.

  Arbeit

  - The theatre has many different spaces, each of which requires daily care. Travellers will be asked to participate in the cleaning and routine maintenance of these spaces.
  - In addition, the theatre has an outdoor area that requires careful garden maintenance.
  - The theatre has a technical area, and travellers may be asked to collaborate and support the tasks of the technicians.
  - Travellers may also be asked to help promote events through activities such as distributing flyers.
  - The theatre already has some volunteers who help before and during events. Travellers may be asked to help the theatre staff, providing assistance to other volunteers.
  - Finally, the theatre has many other ongoing and new projects that require more and more hands. Travellers are welcome to help!

  Unterkunft

  Our lodge usually hosts artists and collaborators,allowing to do tasks at any time of the day or night. The lodge is an innovative and smart structure, energically passive and recyclable, made by eco-friendly wood, with due regard to nature and anyone’s future.
  A cozy place where architectural beauty meets modern functionality.
  A construction site where ideas sprout and become alive.
  The building has two areas used for accommodation: the lower guest quarters for theatre companies and the upper guest quarters. The latter are historic guest quarters. Suspended above the theatre, it has welcomed artists, actors and travelling performers over the years. In 2024, it was given a new lease of life thanks to a renovation that enhanced its character: welcoming, intimate and full of memories. Today, it is attached to the CTK Institut, a training and research centre.
  It has two rooms, two separate bathrooms and four shower stations. The first room has two single beds and one bed on the mezzanine. The second room has one single bed and one bed on the mezzanine. The facility offers the following services: Wi-Fi, hot and cold air conditioning, towels, soap and toilet paper, hairdryer, hot water and bed linen.
  As for meals, lunch will be served in the theatre canteen, where the entire company also has lunch. For dinner, however, our staff will purchase fresh ingredients, encouraging travellers to cook for themselves.

  Lecce is a lively and frequented city, located at the very south of Italy. The cultural offer of the city is wide and diversified, from live music and concerts to museums. The city is very close to the sea as well (10 minutes by car/ 20 minutes by bus).
  For what concerns the transports, the city provides an extended public transport network that can be consulted either through a map or through the mobile app Moovit. The theatre is less than 15 minutes away from the city centre by bus and 20 minutes on foot. The city is widely served by car-sharing, bike sharing, electric scooter sharing and electric motorcycle sharing. Finally, it si worth it to mention that there are many spaces dedicated to study and smart working (e.g. the public library that also grants the possibility to freely borrow books)
  Before the arrival, the travellers will be given a welcome kit with all the useful info to live the best out of this experience!

  The canteen - that you can see in the pictures as well - fully works as co-working space, providing for electricity and internet access. Other than this space, the rooms offer the privacy and quite to work digitally too.
