About us, we are a couple that runs an Eco Tourism Hotel outside of Olmue (Chile), in the ecologically protected zone of Quebrada Alvarado. The hotel nicely combines nature with comfort, being surrounded by mountains and offering the following services for our guests:
•Swimming pool
•Sauna
•Outside Jacuzzi
•Tennis
•Disco Nights
•Restaurant – Bar
•Game Nights
•Karaoke Nights
•Tracking expeditions
•Yoga
•Horse riding expeditions
Olmue is located in the 5 region of Chile, in the center of the country and has a very nice climate (Warm in summer and not to cold in winter). Its located approximately 1 hour from Santiago (Our Capital), 40 minutes from Viña del Mar (Beach city) or 50 minutes from Valparaiso (was declared a World heritage a couple of years ago).
We also have our own Beer Brewery, so if you are interested in the brewery process we could show you how it works and we have a lot of beer :)
In your free time you can obviously use the installations of the Hotel (Swimming pool, sauna, bowling, etc)
We will provide a special kitchen for the workawayers where you can prepare your own meals or a snacks.
You will need to take care of transportation to get to our place and of getting an international insurance. We will provide instructions on how to get to our Hotel by bus (not that hard) from Santiago or Viña del mar. The bus will let you at our front door.
We are very flexible about the duration of your stay, since we need people for all the seasons. So if we get along fine, there is no problem with you staying here for a long time and if you just want to stay 1 months, that’s fine with us to.
It´s also important that you have an outgoing personality, that you are fun to be with and that you are able to create a good mood, so that if there are only a few customers, they still have a good time at our hotel (There are also going to be other work and travelers… so it´s not just you, but it’s important that you as a team are able to accomplish this)
We speak English, German and obviously Spanish (We have had people who don’t speak Spanish, and it’s no problem, but obviously it’s a bit easier to communicate with our regular staff if you do have some basic knowledge of the language).
Our Hostel has a regular staff of about 15 to 20 people who are happy to interact with our volunteers, to help them practice their spanish and if they like you, they will also invite you to get to know the town with them.

Olmue is a very traditional zone of Chile, where travelers will be able to see the real Chilean Huaso (Cowboy), get to know Chilean people (our staff), enjoy the national park la camapana and get to know chilean country lifestyle.

We are looking for enthusiastic young people, that are fun to be with and that are willing to help us with our project.
The main areas you would be helping us are:
•Resort Team (Partying with the guests and creating a good mood)
•Helping with outside activities
•Gardening and watering the plants
•Swimming pool maintenance
•Helping out in other areas when needed depending on your skills.

Some extra info:
- Summer season in Chile is from November to March (20 C° to 35 C° normally)
- Winter season starts around June or July until august or middle September (5 C° to 25 C° normally on the day) (There are some places near of us, about 1 to 2 hours by car, where winter sports are practiced (Sky and Snow Board))
- Our national days are the 18th and 19th of September, so if you are planning to come around that dates, you should definitely try to arrive a couple of days before, since it’s a big celebration with a lot a typical Chilean activities.
- We receive applications all around the year, but if you already know approximately when you would like to come, we recommend you to apply as soon as possible and so increasing the chances of getting one of the available positions for that date.
