  My daughter Ziska and I (Jorge) live on a rural property, where our goal is to transform it into our own paradise, a pleasant place to live and share with our family, friends, and visitors.
  
  We bought the land in May 2025 and are gradually adding more amenities. We live in a caravan with a covered terrace that we built, as well as spaces to relax and work. Our focus is on building with the least possible environmental impact while still embracing the technology available today. We have Wi-Fi, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator with a freezer.
  
  As part of our vision, we want to add more animals, such as chickens, donkeys, and sheep. We need to create a safe space on our property that meets the needs of these animals. Since the property was previously abandoned, there are many areas to improve, such as:
  - Improving soil conditions by planting new species and adding organic matter to help loosen and nourish the soil.
  
  -Tree tasks, planting new species, and taking actions that promote growth and a balanced ecosystem.
  
  -Creating new spaces that foster creativity and connection.
  
  A little about us: Ziska works as a programmer from home. She's a very energetic and creative person, and above all, very cheerful. She loves to cook and makes amazing cakes. She enjoys reading, training with the dogs, spending time with the animals, and discovering new places to walk.
  
  She also likes to try new things: Pilates, yoga, dancing, and even playing in a Brazilian batucada. There's always some project or activity that sparks her curiosity.
  
  Jorge is a designer by profession and is the one who usually imagines, plans, and carries out many of the changes on the property. He likes to work with a plan, move forward step by step, and not rush things. A workday can also include a break for a drink, playing with the dogs, or simply enjoying the place for a while.
  
  He enjoys deep conversations and physical activity: running, calisthenics, and practically any competitive sport. She enjoys competition, pushing herself, and giving her best, regardless of the outcome. We've both volunteered with Workaway in different countries and know what it's like to be on the receiving end. Now we want to give back by hosting and offering a cultural exchange experience to remember for a lifetime.
  
  Our two dogs and two cats are part of our family.

  Ziska mi hija y yo(Jorge) vivimos en una finca rustica, donde nuestro objetivo es transformarla en nuestro propio paraiso, y tener un lugar agradable para vivir y compartir con nuestra familia, amigos y visitantes.
  
  Compramos el terreno en Mayo 2025 y cada vez vamos obteniendo más comodidades. Vivimos en una caravana con una terraza techada que hemos construido, asi como lugares para descansa y trabajar. Nuestro enfoque es construir con el menor impacto hambiental posible pero sin luchar con la tecnologia disponible en estos tiempos. Tenemos Wifi, lavavajillas y refriguerador con congelador.
  
  Como parte de nuestra vision queremos agregar más animales, como gallinas, burros y ovejas. Necesitamos crear un espacio seguro y que cubra las necesidades de estos animales, dentro de nuestro terreno.
  Al haber sido un lugar abandonado hay muchas areas a mejorar como:
  -Mejorar las condiciones del suelo, plantando nuevas especies y agregando materia organica que ayuden a descompactar y nutrir el suelo.
  -Mantenimiento de arboles, plantando nuevas especies y haciendo acciones que favorescan el crecimiento y un ecositema balanceado.
  -Crear nuevos espacios que fomenten creatividad y conexión.
  
  Un poco sobre nosotros
  Ziska trabaja como programadora desde casa. Es una persona con mucha energía creativa y, sobre todo, muy alegre. Le encanta cocinar y hace unos pasteles increíbles. Disfruta leyendo, entrenando con los perros, pasando tiempo con los animales y descubriendo nuevos lugares para pasear.
  
  También le gusta probar cosas nuevas: pilates, yoga, bailar e incluso tocar en una batucada brasileña. Siempre hay algún proyecto o actividad que le despierta curiosidad.
  
  Jorge es diseñador de profesión y es quien suele imaginar, planear y llevar adelante muchos de los cambios de la finca. Le gusta trabajar con un plan, avanzar paso a paso y no hacer las cosas con prisa. Una jornada de trabajo también puede incluir una pausa para tomar algo, jugar con los perros o simplemente disfrutar un rato del lugar.
  
  Le gustan las conversaciones profundas y la actividad física: correr, calistenia y prácticamente cualquier deporte competitivo. Le gusta competir, esforzarse y dar lo mejor de sí, independientemente del resultado. Ambos hemos sido voluntarios de workaway, en diferentes paises y sabemos que es estar del otro lado. Ahora queremos dar devuelta, siendo host y ofreciendo una experiencia de interambio cultural para recordad toda la vida.
  
  Parte de nuestra familia son nuestros dos perros y dos gatos.

  We have seen and experienced many things over the years, and we would love to share that experience with anyone who wants to listen. At the same time, we love learning new things and testing our convictions and beliefs.
  
  At our farm, we learn how to be in sync with nature, to observe it in order to co-create new landscapes and live a more fulfilling life. You will be able to discover rural Spain, which lives at a different pace, has a different vision, and is constantly evolving.

  Ziska y yo venimos de paises diferentes y hemos vivido juntos en diferentes paises y distintas formas de vida. Tenemos una vision muy propia del mundo y de como queremos pasar nuestro tiempo en esta vida.
  
  Hemos visto y experimentado muchas cosas a lo largo de los años y nos encatara compartir esa experiencia con quien quiera escuchar, al mismo tiempo nos encanta aprender nuevas cosas y poner a prueba nuestras convicciones y creencias.
  
  En nuestra Finca, aprendemos a como estar en sincronia con la naturaleza, a observarla para co-crear nuevos paisajes y tener una vida más plena. Podras conocer la España rural que vive a otro ritmo, tiene otra vision y esta en constante evolución.

  We are looking for people who enjoy helping with their hands, spending time outdoors, and connecting more deeply with nature, both within themselves and in the world around them. We will do tasks together, and you can choose the tasks that appeal to you most, based on your availability and desire to learn.
  
  Due to the project's current status, tasks vary depending on the time of year and other factors.
  
  The tasks include:
  
  Tasks with vegetation and water.
  Animal care.
  Living area care.
  
  If you have a particular skill or talent, we would love to provide you with the opportunity to put it into practice on an existing or new project.
  
  We like to do tasks "steadily but steadily." We understand this is a large project, and everything will come in due time.

  Buscamos gente que quiera trabajar con sus manos, que quiera pasar tiempo al aire libre, que quiera conectar más con la naturaleza interna y del mundo. Trabajaremos juntos y podras elegir que tareas te apetecen más segun tus posibilidades y deseos de aprender.
  Debido al estado del proyecto las tareas son distintas segun la epoca del año y otros factores.
  Dentro de las tareas a realizar son:
  
  Manejo de vegetacion.
  Manejo de aguas.
  Cuidado de animales.
  Mantenimiento del lugar habitable.
  
  Si tienes una habilidad o talento en particular, nos encantaria proporcionar la oportunidad de ponerlo en acción, en algun proyecto existente o nuevo.
  
  Nos gusta trabajar "Sin pausa pero sin prisa". Sabemos que es un proyecto grande y que todo llegara a su tiempo.

  Unterkunft

  We currently offer various tent accommodation options. Shared bathroom with shower and hot water.
  
  We have everything from large tents where you can stand upright and that have enough space for up to four people, to smaller tents designed for two people.
  
  You can also come with your campervan.
  
  We prefer a minimum stay of one week, although we believe two weeks is ideal, as we think that allows you to better integrate into the project and our lifestyle.
  
  The maximum stay will depend on the dynamics between everyone and the needs and schedules of the property.
  
  We share the meals we regularly prepare with our volunteers. Our diet is primarily vegetarian, varied, and balanced. If you have different tastes, needs, or dietary preferences, we can discuss it beforehand. You are also welcome to bring your own food, and there will be space available in our refrigerator.

  Actualmente podemos ofrecer diferentes opciones de alojamiento en tiendas de campaña. Baño compartido con ducha y agua caliente.
  
  Tenemos desde tiendas grandes donde puedes estar de pie y que tienen espacio suficiente para hasta cuatro personas, hasta tiendas más pequeñas pensadas para dos personas.
  
  También puedes venir con tu autocaravana.
  
  La estancia mínima que preferimos es de una semana, aunque para nosotros lo ideal son dos semanas, ya que creemos que ese tiempo permite integrarse mejor en el proyecto y en nuestro ritmo de vida.
  
  La duración máxima dependerá de la dinámica entre todos y de las necesidades y tiempos de la finca.
  
  Compartimos con nuestros voluntarios las comidas que preparamos habitualmente en nuestro día a día.
  Nuestra alimentación es principalmente vegetariana, variada y equilibrada.
  Si tienes gustos, necesidades o preferencias alimentarias diferentes, podemos hablarlo previamente. También puedes traer tus propios alimentos y tendrás espacio disponible en nuestro frigorífico.

  Due to the property's location, having a car is very useful if you want to get around independently, as we are 2 kilometers from the village of Arroyomolinos de la Vera, a small village with few amenities but surrounded by incredible natural beauty. There is no good bus or taxi service. You are welcome to join us whenever we go out in the car and make the most of the trips, or simply come with us.
  
  There are several beautiful natural areas to explore on foot from our property, with routes ranging from 45 minutes to 2 hours that we can recommend. There are places to swim and walk alongside the gorge.
  
  The entire La Vera region is full of small villages, gorges, natural pools, and beautiful places to discover. Each village has its own charm, and we often take excursions to explore new places.
  
  We are also relatively close to Plasencia, where we can find many more services.
  We frequently visit different towns to do our shopping, do laundry, eat out, explore new places, or participate in the cultural events organized in the area. Therefore, although the farm is in a quiet, rural setting, we are not isolated. We would be happy to share any trip with our volunteers.

  Debido a la ubicacion de la finca es muy util tener un auto si quieres moverte de manera independiente, ya que estamos a 2 kilometros del pueblo de Arroyomolinos de la Vera, un pequeño pueblo con pocos servicios, pero rodeado de una naturaleza increíble, no hay un buen servicio de autobuses o taxis. Sin problemas puedes acompañarnos cada vez que salimos con el auto y aprovechar los viajes o acompañarnos.
  
  Hay varios lugares naturales muy bonitos para recorrer andando desde nuestra finca, rutas desde 45min hasta 2 horas que podemos recomendar. Con lugar para bañarse y caminar al lado de la garganta.
  Toda la comarca de La Vera está llena de pequeños pueblos, gargantas, piscinas naturales y lugares preciosos para descubrir. Cada pueblo tiene su propio encanto y muchas veces hacemos excursiones para conocer nuevos lugares.
  También estamos relativamente cerca de Plasencia, donde podemos encontrar muchos más servicios.
  Nosotros vamos con frecuencia a distintos pueblos para hacer la compra, poner la lavadora, comer fuera, conocer algún lugar nuevo o participar en los eventos culturales que se organizan en la zona.
  Por eso, aunque la finca está en un entorno tranquilo y rural, no estamos aislados.
  Estaremos gustosos de compartir cualquier viaje con nuestros voluntarios.
