Help
Currently we are looking for someone for the summer month, from May to September 2023, or even longer.
We are searching for volunteers with a positive nature, with a lot of energy and a genuine interest in working with sled dogs. We expect our volunteers to be helpful and flexible in our sometimes difficult Artic conditions, and really eager to participate in all types of work necessary.
The day starts with feeding the dogs and getting them ready for our first guest to arrive.
Our dogs are lively and strong individuals that require confident handling. The work is physically demanding and can push you sometimes to your limit, especially by bad wheather conditions. But if you learn to appreciate the eager of our dogs to run and do their job well, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing dogs and guests coming back from their tour smiling and being happy.
During guest free time we trying to keep the kennel clean and to give our dogs as much loving care as possible. They are loving and happy dogs and a very important part of our family with their individual personalities and needs.
What we can offer you during your time with us:
- to learn everything about sleddogs :)
- driving a sled on your own
- driving a snow scooter
- meeting a lot of guest from all over the world

From end of March until middle of November we are at the edge of Finland situated. Very close to the Russian border and in the middle of the biggest nature resort south of the polarcirkle. Our next neighbor is almost 20km far away. Beautiful nature and wildlife along the river.
Its really only for people which prefers to be outside a hectic city life. In your free time you can explore the landscape with a bike, canoe or a boat or just enjoy a hiking trip true the forests with some dogs.
Midd November we move up north. Levi is a fell located in Finnish Lapland, and the largest ski resort in Finland. The resort is located in Kittilä municipality and is served by Kittilä Airport and Kolari railway station. At a latitude of 67.8° north, it is located approximately 170 km (110 mi) north of the Arctic Circle.
The skiing and snowboarding season in Levi is fairly long, often lasting from October to mid-May. The ski school provides instruction in downhill skiing, snowboarding, telemark skiing and cross-country skiing. Cross-country skiers have illuminated ski tracks and snow that lingers well into the spring. There are 230 km (140 mi) of cross-country skiing tracks and 886 km (550 mi) of snowmobiling tracks in Levi.
At 8 km (5 mi) from the centre of Levi is Luvattumaa, Levi Ice Hotel & Ice Gallery and at 45 km (28 mi) from Levi is the Snow Village Lainio; there it is possible to see snow and ice buildings, eat in an ice restaurant (in Lainio) or experience a night sleep in an ice room.
