Description
Hello, I am Alberto, an organic farmer from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands. I am 35 years old and a year ago I started a comprehensive rehabilitation project for the farm where I am. I live in a cave house, which I rehabilitated together with my family from the old stables where they had cows (my house) and goats (the guest room), as well as the chicken coop (bathroom). And the project is based on a garden space, fruit trees, tuneras and a house that serves both as rural tourism and for courses and workshops.
Hola, soy Alberto, agricultor ecológico de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, en las Islas Canarias. Tengo 35 años y desde hace un año empecé un proyecto integral de rehabilitación de la finca en la que estoy. Vivo en una casa cueva, que rehabilité junto con mi familia de los antiguos establos donde tenían vacas (mi casa) y cabras (el cuarto de invitados), así como el gallinero (baño). Y el proyecto se basa en un espacio de huerta, de arboles frutales, de tuneras y una casa que sirva tanto de turismo rural como para la realización de cursos y talleres.

I need help to start an ecological farm that had been abandoned for many years. The tasks range from preparing the land for planting (about 5000m2) to clearing paths and unused orchards. Also with the construction of stables for animals and rehabilitation of an old traditional house. No specific knowledge is required as training will be given, although if you have prior knowledge the exchange will be more enriching
Necesito ayuda para poner en marcha una finca ecológica que llevaba muchos años en abandono. Las tareas son desde la preparación de la tierra para su siembra (unos 5000m2) como el despeje de caminos y huertas en desuso. También con la construcción de establos para los animales y rehabilitación de una antigua casa tradicional. No hace falta conocimientos específicos pues se dará formación, aunque si dispones de conocimientos previos será más enriquecedor el intercambio.

The accommodation I offer is for two people in a separate room carved out of the rock, with its own bathroom. There is also availability to put caravans, vans or in tents. I offering accommodation, 3 meals a day and snack. The food is vegetarian mainly

The surroundings of the farm are a wonderful landscape, in a protected natural space located on the outskirts of the capital, a stronghold of nature less than 15m away, with very few neighbors and great potential for hiking, biking, trail, bird watching and the development of multiple activities (whether cultural or artistic). Also act as a guide, to show the corners of the island, both its aboriginal sites and natural environments. And you cannot miss going to the beach;) Transportation bus global guaguas line 335
El entorno de la finca es un paisaje maravilloso, en un espacio natural protegido situado a las afueras de la capital, un reducto de naturaleza a menos de 15m, con muy pocos vecinos y un gran potencial para el senderismo, la bici, el trail, el avistamiento de pájaros y el desarrollo de múltiples actividades (ya sean culturales o artísticas). También hacer de guía, para enseñar los rincones de la isla, tanto de sus yacimientos aborígenes como entornos naturales. Alberto and Frederico are open minded and warm people. Speaking spanish is a bonus, as we had the feeling that we missed some nice jokes etc. but you´ll get along with english as well.

Love my staying there. Some days you might work more than others, Alberto is really flexible and open-minded.
