Description
We are an Italian family living in Lombardy, north of Italy, and are looking for some family help.
We are Barbara (me, mum), Aldo (dad), Emma (19 years old girl), Jacopo (17 years old boy) and Viola (12 years old dog). Imbersago, our village of medieval origins, is quite and very nice.
We live in the North Adda Park, which is a protected natural area traversed by the Adda River and with numerous examples of 19th century hydraulic engineering (e.g.Leonardo da Vinci's canals and locks ) of civil engineering (the Paderno - Calusco iron bridge) and industrial archaeology (Crespi d'Adda workers' village, now a UNESCO heritage site example of 19th-century industrialization).
Imbersago is a part of the lake of Como surrended by a lot of green and Milan is 30 minutes far from here.
You can also easily reach Como, Lecco, Monza, Bergamo, Bellagio, and a little further away are Brescia, Verona, Garda, and many northern cities.
By train you can, of course, reach also Rome, Florence, Venice, Turin, Genoa, Bologna...
During some weekends it is also possible to go to our seaside house near Genoa.
From there we can reach Cinque Terre, Portofino, …
Our ideal workawayer:
- is 23 years old or more
- is an experienced driver (at least 2 years driving experience)... with manual gear shift
- is a good cook or at least is eager to try out recipes
- is responsible in managing the teenagers, dog and house
- is energetic and active
- is a person who, after learning things to do, does them completely independently
- is organized and punctual in doing things
- problem solver and not problem creator.
What we expect her or him to do:
- be part of our family
- dialog in English with our kids
- keep her/his room and bathroom clean and tidy
- be proactive in getting things done.
