29yr old male world traveler, just had my acl and meniscus repaired (knee surgery) and will be spending the next two months rehabbing at my house in Vail, Colorado. I have several extra bedrooms available in a nice, fully furnished 4bedroom condo and am willing to offer free rent to anyone that fits the mold of a handy housemate to have around. Handy in this case meaning primarily that you can help cook meals for us (the more you like to cook, the better), grab me fresh ice packs from the freezer, help me change the sheets of an odd bed or two, I keep the house clean and tidy but hopefully you would have a net positive effect on the cleanliness of the house (certainly not a negative one), run basic errands like grocery shopping or to the post office etc. and lastly I don't have a car in Vail currently so having a vehicle and the ability to run me to and/or from a doctor's or PT appt would go a long way...although on workaway I don't expect most of you to have one, and the Town of Vail has free buses for getting around anyway.
If you feel you could help out with any of these types of things and want a free spot in Vail for April/May, feel free to message me telling me about yourself, your situation, and what you are looking for, cheers, Keith

Cooking together, tons of English practice if English isn't your first language (I've done a month of english immersion programs talking with ppl 15+hrs/day), have an ivy league business degree and trade stocks while traveling the last 5+ years so I have a lot of knowledge to share about the world, good money habits, anthropological differences between cultures, how to travel very cheaply, nuances of American culture, and many other things. Feel free to ask specific questions.
This is one of those dream workaways if you are looking to explore the Vail Valley and surrounding areas of the Rocky Mountains without actually being expected to contribute much volunteering haha. Basically, meal preparation and delivering food/ice to me on the couch is 95% of what I'm looking for, and I'd have to guess that would average out to maybe 1-2hours/day across a whole week. Also, I'm on crutches (with only toe touch weight the first 2 months) so it's not like I'm dilapidated or in need of sponge baths or anything haha. Most of the time it'll probably be like hanging out with a fellow traveler at a hostel as after almost 6 straight years of traveling around the world through 70ish countries, I'm pretty laid back.
*️️️️️️️️As far as purchasing groceries, I assume we will mainly split the cost of food we are both consuming, and pay individually for ourselves for things that are just for our own tastes...and in general, the more I like you, the more I will take the lead on the grocery bill. Lastly, all my meals are centered around the meat, so if you're thinking you can come here and cook vegetarian like I'm some lowly herbivore on the food chain, you are sorely mistaken haha. Jk, idc if you're vege, so long as you're not opposed to cooking meat for me lol.
Private room with a comfy bed in a nice, 4bedroom condo in East Vail, 6min walk to the free town of vail bus line.
Skiing until the mountains close, camping, hiking, biking, rafting, rock climbing, floating, kayaking, dirtbiking, 4wheeling, shooting guns, frisbee golf, volleyball, swimming, paddleboarding, nice park (dog friendly) 3 min walk away, whatever you want, the entire rocky mountains are your playground and the possible outdoor activities are endless. If we hit it off, you will be more than welcome to accompany my friends and I camping in some beautiful spots in CO and Utah come late April/May (and getting in with the locals I know is where the real magic of Colorado happens). The saying in Vail is "Come for the winter, stay for the summer." because every day is 27 degrees, sunny and no humidity in the summer, its secretly even nicer than the world famous skiing of winter. Also, I'm 420 friendly if that's important to you.
