We are a small yoga retreat centre offering reiki and yoga teacher trainings in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand. Situated on top of a hill with the stunning cliffs of Ao Nang in the distance, we aim to create a peaceful, joyful atmosphere for our guests and volunteers, as well as our many dogs and cats!
As part of our team, you will need a caring disposition and a love of yoga and animals. You will have a broad range of responsibilities beyond teaching yoga or giving Reiki. Making breakfast, cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms and yoga shala, walking and bathing the animals, and cleaning the animals' area is but a small sample. We also require volunteers to teach our public yoga classes 4-5 times a week (more if there is no teacher training in session), and assist Marina with Reiki and healing sessions. Therefore, we are looking for people who have completed a 200 hour Yoga Alliance registered program. All duties are shared, and although those who do not teach yoga will take on other tasks, volunteers work as a team to keep the center clean and running smoothly. Extensive teaching experience is not necessary, only a willingness to learn, an open heart and pride in a job well done.
Volunteers must be self-sufficient, caring and possess a love of community and animals. The work is simple, and though it can be finished quickly as a team, care is needed throughout the day as public areas are used. Though we ask for an average work time of four hours a day, six days a week (time could be split during the day).
Free times can be spent in peaceful nature, attending our public yoga classes, swimming in our neighbor's pool, playing with the animals or hanging out with the guests. We provide bicycles free of charge and a scooter to rent if you want to go to town or to the beach nearby, as long as someone is always around the center. We can accommodate up to 3 volunteers at a time, so when someone wants to take a day off or spend the night at the beach, arrangements can usually be made. Couples are welcome, as long as at least one of you can teach yoga!
This Workaway is perfect for those looking to learn about yoga, reiki, meditation, and healing. Marina is always looking for an assistant to help her out, and you will have the opportunity to learn many things as you sit in on classes and treatments. The energy here is amazing and all we ask is that you regard your tasks with honor and treat our home as if it were your own.

In the morning, we provide a simple breakfast for our guests which you will prepare. After breakfast, we clean up and attend or teach the morning yoga class. One person will stay behind on a rotating basis to clean the kitchen more thoroughly and attend the common area.
After class, the volunteers team up and tackle the laundry, bathrooms, yoga shala as well as other rotating duties such as dog walking and washing, ironing, and other tasks. More information can be given upon arrival. With happiness and diligence, this can all be completed in just a few short hours, but as you go about your day, make sure to pop in the kitchen, bathroom and yoga shala as you walk by to make sure that someone hasn't left a mess!
Usually, the afternoons are free, and we can relax, swim, read, practice or paint! if someone wants to leave the centre, we only need to confirm with the other volunteers that someone will stay around. Sundays are very quiet, and we need to make sure that one volunteer is always hanging around the common area as no other staffs are present on this day. It's a good time to catch up on reading, yoga, practice, or to paint us a mural!
If you are a Reiki Master, you will also be asked to assist with healing sessions throughout the day, and if you are an eager learner, you will have the opportunity to assist Marina and learn some new skills, including Reiki for those who show promise and dedication.
We offer yoga classes in the styles of Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin and meditation. If you are not familiar with teaching some of these then you will have the opportunity to learn, and diversifying your teaching style is expected.
Whether you are a yoga teacher, Reiki master or a travelling yoga enthusiast, all of our volunteers share responsibilities. We work as a team to keep the centre clean and running smoothly, and the longer you stay with us, the more you will learn in your new home away from home!

The coast in the south of Thailand is a luxurious tropical paradise. Towering limestone cliffs shelter incredible beaches, the most beautiful is Railay. Isolated from the mainland, the peninsula of Railay is surrounded by the warm Andaman Sea, lush jungle, and twisted rock. It contains enough activities for the most adventurous while allowing those who just want to chill out in paradise the opportunity to do just that.
What to do?
If you've arranged a day away from the yoga centre, there are many fun things to do in the area!
