    Description

I moved from Serbian Capital Belgrade where I was born and raised, to village of Seca Reka, in 2020, when my 2 daughters become independent, in order to live in peace with my partner, nature and my pets. We have 3 St. Bernards, one maltese dog and few cats - that are just like children to me.
I used to live in Cyprus, Russia, Italy, Montenegro... My partner is originally from Montenegro and he lived and worked in Germany.
As every creative person I always have some running projects and it is not one man show, so help is always welcomed.

  • Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Travellers can learn about Serbian culture and tradition, get some genuine serbian cooking recipes, experience real village life in Western Serbia and meet local people. I can offer to teach them Serbian, English or Russian. We can also chat about life philosophy, history or art.
The main benefit of staying here is peace and quiet, starry nights and fresh water and air. If you like hiking we are in a good area. There is a great swimming pool in Kosjeric which is not very expensive, so you can spend your free time there if you like that kind of fun.
And than - there are the dogs. I am welcoming only dog lovers, as otherwise it would be very difficult and scary to even move around the estate. Our dogs are very big and strong and they shed and drool a lot, so bring a lot of clothes you are ready to throw away after your stay in Seca Reka if you plan to make some three legged friends .

    Help

Weeding and planting the garden and raspberry field, woodcutting, repairing objects, making flower beds, dog houses etc. Meals are provided for workawayers that are willing to work for at least 5 hours a day for 5 days, and if we agree on 3 hours x 5 days, you can provide and cook food for yourself. It is very important that you don't act as a guest in a hotel and that you clean after yourself. My standards are a bit higher than normal, but I expect you to keep it as clean as you found it during your stay.

    Accommodation

We have a small 2 bedroom cottage next to our house. It has a small kitchen and bathroom, living room and 2 bedrooms, plus a big balcony. There is huge parking space, big yard, wi-fi. Workawayers with campervans have a place to park.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The village of Seca Reka is situated between 2 mountains Divcibare and Zlatibor, so the place is great for exploring, hiking and driving mountain bicycles. There are direct trains from Belgrade to Kosjeric. From village to Kosjeric there is a bus twice daily, but it is common to hitchhike. I provide transport from train station in Kosjeric to my house if I am not under heavy snow. There are other hosts in the area, I will be happy to introduce my Workawayers to them, and my friends.
Bear in mind that this is a mountain, so even in August there are nights you might need a jacket, or sweater, and some warm trousers.
