I am a 32 year old architect who has just moved back to our old family farm. I belive we got a really beautiful place here, with historical buildings and garden, fields, pastures and forest, along Norways largest lake Mjøsa, close to Oslo. I love to share it. I will continue to develope the farm in a positive, social and sustainable direction, with care for both the heritage and the natural envirmonment. Volunteer work here will typically be with our sheep, pigs, the organic garden, fence and building maintenance and different restoration projects. Caring for biodiversity is also an important focus for me, and maybe for you?
Help with Eco project
Possibility to experience and help a historical norwegian farm, developing sustainable agriculture, with care for heritage and nature. Learn about farming, craft and architecture and experience the joy of physical farm work. As a host we will do our best to create a learning environment and provide work so you will both be challenged and get tasks that you can manage and take real responsibility for.
Type of help needed may vary throughout the season: caring for the sheep, lambing, making firewood, fencing, gardening, general maintenance, food conservation, and depending on your skills and interests: building and restoration projects, nature/biodiversity restoration, craft and design. If you got any special interest or skills please let us know.
