    Description

Andrew (Greg) & Barbara (Ellie) and two very friendly dogs Archie & Phoebe, now into our fourth year with the orchard and farm house in the heart of the Valencia region. Our finca is in good condition but still lots of interesting jobs inside and outside in the campo. Ideally we are looking for people with good level of Spanish as our new year resolution is to get fluent this year.

Note: The type of work here means we only offer places to those over the age of 21

We are only 2 km from the nearest railway station. Valencia is 40 minutes and very easy via train. It's a short drive to the mountain area with some testing walks and great views. There and plenty of beaches within a 30 minute drive and many places of interest nearby. We have a couple of bikes you can use anytime and it's very quick to get into the local town for shops and bars etc.

This is a normal workaway with around 20 hours per week in exchange for food, drink and accommodation.

Usually we work from 11:00 to 16:00 in winter and 08:00 - 13:00 summer. Ellie usually does the daytime meal but the rest of the time is yours to do as you wish. You have your own kitchen and lounge or we can share evening times also.

The work outside can be weeding, pruning, mulching, picking fruit and various landscaping projects. Inside there are some repair jobs, decorating, furnishing, cleaning, painting etc for when the weather makes it difficult to be outside.
It is important for us that you enjoy your stay, so we are flexible with the type of work you prefer.

Workawayers do not need any specific skills but must be fit, healthy and willing to learn new things. We do expect good hygiene and tidiness and rest assured that all work must be safe with protective equipment as necessary.

Only one rule is no smoking near to the house! This is a healthy place with lots of fruit, vegies, nut and olives
