    Description

We run an off the grid permaculture farm with a growing food forest, vegetable beds, ornamental plants, secondary and primary forest and a few farm animals near Puerto Viejo, Limón. Over 120+ acres, with 70% primary rainforest, creeks and a network of trails.

It is our desire and intention to blend the mixed characteristics of the land to offer a balance between committed environmental protection, civic education, financial sustainability and permaculture principles. We desire to create an environment and community that optimizes the beauty, magic and power of living in synchronicity with the natural world in a regenerative manner.

We envision becoming an educational and conservation center that offers unique learning opportunities to equip individuals with knowledge and skills, to support us in our journey of restoring the balance between humans and the natural world.

We abide by the Permaculture ethics of:
    Earth care
    People care
    Fair Share

Embark on a Unique Tropical Jungle Farming Adventure!

Discover the magic of off-grid living on our expansive 120-acre private Permaculture farm, evolving over the past 5 years. We're on the lookout for dedicated volunteers/farmers with a genuine passion for farming, particularly those well-versed in soil biology, permaculture, and tropical agriculture, willing to commit to at least one month—with a strong preference for those committing to over three months.

Aspiring candidates are invited to undergo a one-week trial, post which we'll evaluate the experience to determine if you'll become an integral part of our community.

For those sponsored to join us, we provide accommodation and food supplies. Volunteers are responsible for their own meals and maintaining the cleanliness of their accommodations.

In return, we seek assistance in various areas, such as:

Gardens: Bed preparation, seedlings, planting, soil preparation, composting, weeding, watering, harvesting, pest control, pruning, transplanting, landscaping, and agroforestry.

General Maintenance: Trail upkeep, farm fixings, construction, woodworking, and sustainable building techniques, including caring for our regenerative systems.

Animal Care: Feeding and maintaining cleanliness in their areas.

Volunteers are expected to contribute up to 25 hours per week, but opportunities to engage more are available—after all, it's a farm, and there's always something to do! Access to the town is possible through a hike at any time.
