Description
Hello,
My name is Michal, I am from Israel and I come to Costa Rica to fulfill my dream to experience nature and to work with my bare hands in the majestic jungles.
I chose to do WWOOFing because have a big passion to learn more about sustainable living with methods such as permaculture and explore alternative living and communities.
What I love the Most about the Costa Rica outdoor, is the wildlife experience that seem to be everywhere from the great plants to the wild animals.
The combination of the tropic ocean and the wild junges amaze me. For an outdoor person like me, this is an adventure I can wait to have.
Here is a list of some of the skills I carry and offer:
- Building – as part of volunteering in a farm I helped building an eco-
mud house.
- Woodwork – learned by helping a friend to build his house in a farm
and building my own home furniture.
- Fungal knowledge - M.sc student in fungal research under
biotechnology department Hebrew university.
- Ecological pools knowledge – B.sc in marine biology Ruppin academic
center.
- Welding – finished a full welding course.
- Cooking – worked in vegan restaurant as a cooker and in Indian
catering in festivals.
- Childcare – have experience with facilitating workshops for children
and babysitting.
- Trade work – as a certified Watsu (Water Shiatsu) practitioner I offer
Watsu treatments for women.
- Driving license.
- Painting and decorating.
- Gardening – making gardens in my house and in friends house.
- Swimming and Diving guide – certified scuba diving PADI instructor.
- Skipper - certified Israel license.
In my free time I would love to join to community music circles (I'm singing and drumming) and join/create women circles. Another thing I would like to do in my free time would be diving at the sea (if near).
I would love to share with my hosts my cuisine skills and to meet their need with the little "working tool" I carry.
I would love to learn from my hosts the local culture. Furthermore, I would love to expand my permaculture education and experience a closer look at living in nature. It is important for me to volunteer in a place who feel safe for woman.
Can't wait to join your farm and meet your family
