    Description

Stay at organic estate in beautiful Värmland.
This place originated from 1859 with a rich history which charmed us from the beginning we set foot here in 2005. We aim to be self-sufficient and sustainability is our goal. We work according bio-dynamic principles and our farm is organic .
We have substantial gardens and vegetables and apple orchard which are all grown organically .
There are several buildings at the estate and we would welcome new ideas to inspire us. So do not hesitate to share your thoughts on food production whilst joining us on this organic farm with hens and wonderful options to enjoy natural beauty with her extensive forests and nearby lakes for beautiful hiking or canoeing at your doorstep. We have a thriving community with art projects in the summer and a summer cafe in an old mill just footsteps away run by locals , so it’s just to join in . You can easily extend your visiting in free time by train Oslo or to Stockholm. Nearest town is KARLSTAD and village Arvika.
Our season runs from April to end October. This place is most suitable for couples travelling.

Together with the head gardener Cecilia you will learn to maintain organic gardening. we have a rose garden, English flowers bed , vegetable garden, and small forest to maintain. All gardening work will be available.
The farm hens needs to look after.
If you can drive traktor that's a plus. Chopping wood and maintenance of fencing and some small easy painting in the hen house and small projects return every summer.
You will stay in our guest house which’s fitted with a kitchen and simple bathroom. You can also use the full equipped gym/fitness . It's great place to take a friend , so you can share a room. If you ever dream of having an organic farm this is the place to start your experience.

Helping days are equal to the staff at the farm, Monday till Thursday 9-16. Lunch and coffee breaks included. Canoe is available. We do have some public transport taxi with train ticket, but not ideally, a driving licence is more suitable.
After an introduction on the farm and surroundings you will be ask to join the staff and they will discuss your to do lists on a weekly basis. We will also visit some nice eco projects nearby to be inspired.
