It has been an amazing experience to join Carol and Trevor family.
They included me in their daily life. I've enjoyed Carol's amazing dinner, and Thanksgiving around the campfire.
Let's not forget the stars of the house: Gifget the giant lovely dog, and the 3 cats who gives the best cuddles.

I stayed with Carol and Trevor for about 2 months from September to October 2024. They where incredibly welcoming and kind to me. Both are very easy to get along with and accomodating to take you places as needed.
I mainly helped maintain the gorgeous but large 100 year old home, I helped repaint a portion of the exterior, cleaned windows and

They have many pets that give wonderful cuddles and generally the house is very laid back and friendly giving you a wonderful base to explore the island and the excellent hiking in the area.Left by host for Workawayer (Lily )
It was a please to have Lily . Lily worked throughout her stay painting, moving wood, raking leaves and even cleaning windows.
She was always polite and kind. She loved the animals and they all enjoyed having her lavish them with affection.
Lily is very welcome to come back anytime and we wish her safe and happy travels!

Thank you Matt!
Matt was a great addition to the family. He was conscientious and very generous with his time. He worked hard and completed his jobs quickly and thoroughly. He had no problem working independently and managing his time.
We really enjoyed his sense of humor, his kindness and appreciated how good he was to our pets and livestock.
… read more He was a good sport and didn't mind sheep wrangling even when they were all spongey and wet.
Matt was easy to feed, he ate anything and was thankful and generous. Matt was tidy and always helped with the dishes, just an ideal house guest!

Happy travels, Matt. Come back soon.

What a fantastic guy!
George was a pleasure to host. Always pleasant and always game to jump in and help out. He was clean, tidy and very responsible. He blended into our family and was so much fun to have.

George has a fantastic personality and was quick with a grin when we teased him. He was kind and loving with all our pets/animals and our poor chihuahua misses him terribly.
George is welcome back to our house any time, at the drop of a hat. Thank you for all your help and good memories.

I had a wonderful experience with the family in Westholme. This family made me feel immediately at home with a warm welcome and freshly made cookies. They are all very intelligent and funny we had amazing conversations and I loved joking around with them. (great sense of humour). Every night we would eat dinner together and it was always a
… read more pleasure Carol is the best cook iv ever had, the range this woman has in the kitchen is insane iv never eaten this good in my life, the only problem is you have to save room for dessert which was my favourite part. Best pecan pie on the planet!!! The work wasn't difficult and they were happy to let me work on my initiative. The house is a beautiful 100year old building surrounded by huge old-growth trees with amazing views from the front porch also just a few minutes from the city of Duncan. They have 3 dogs and 3 cats that are always available for pets/snuggles I miss them so much especially little missy, the most adorable little Chihuahua you will ever see I spent a lot of time feeding her treats she was twice the size when I left ha. I would highly recommend staying with this family. They are down to earth nice wholesome peoples. I would consider them family iv never felt so welcome if I didn't have to go back to Ireland for work I'd still be staying with them. I miss chilling and watching shows and movies with Trevor talking shit and telling dirty jokes. And I miss my conversations/bitching sessions😉 with Carol in the kitchen in the evening while she made dinner or on our way to Costco. Carol is an amazing woman who literally works 24/7 running her business her family cooks and cleans non stop, it makes me tired just thinking about all the stuff she does but it's also inspiring. All of the family have a place to stay in Ireland any time your more than welcome and I'll be your personal tour guide. Thank you all for the amazing experience I had and I hope to see you in the future!!
We miss him so much!
Daniel was such an immense help. All we had to do was point him in the general direction and he took care of everything. His work ethic was outstanding and he was comfortable and happy to work work independently or with us. He certainly earned his keep and then some! He mended fences, repaired sheep pens (building gates and

Daniel was always kind and loving to all our animals. Our little Chihuahua misses him terribly. Our Great Danes miss "treat time" in the evenings, and the cat is sad that he can't knock all his belongings on the floor.
He was always quick to gently tease and smile. He always had a cheeky grin when we teased him back. He never once complained.
He blended into our family completely and our only disappointment was that we didn't get to keep him longer!
We sincerely hope he make his way back to us soon. We would be thrilled to have him stay with us again. He is just like family, but better.
Come back any time Daniel!!
