Description
We live in a rural area in the Northern Rivers in NSW, just south of the Gold Coast. We're a family of 5 who are just embarking in the massive project of building our forever home. We live on 7.5 acres, subtropical weather and have a dam. We are asking for help maintaining our land, cutting weeds and maybe chopping/burning wood. We are asking for 13 hours of work per week in exchange for accommodation in our granny flat, It has its own kitchen, bathroom and composting toilet, where workawayers can retreat on their own :) We'll offer you a meal here and there so we can share life experiences together, but you'll be in charge of your own meals. También hablamos español, et on parle français (un peu)

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a mixed family, husband is Aussie and I am Chilean, he works on IT and I'm a massage therapist. Our children are fully bilingual too. We've travelled the world extensively (2 and a half years travelling the world, pre-kids). Apart from exchanging accommodation for help, we can also exchange massage treatments, you can use our truck to go into town if you don't have a vehicle of your own, but this is currently a bit limited since we use it at least 3 days per week. You must also be over 25 to use the Ute for insurance purposes. Our nearest town is just 15 minutes away by car. You'll most likely be around one of us, so there will be plenty of conversations :)
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We need people who can help us rake and clear the weeds so our robot mower can do its thing.

We have a granny flat that comes with its own kitchen, fridge, shower, composting toilet, air con, and single bed. Plenty of space to put away your stuff.
What else ...
We are a vegetarian family, so if we offer you a meal here and there, it'll be vegetarian. No tobacco smokers near us or inside the house, please. Pets aren't allowed inside the granny flat, but they can come along. It's a big open space, so it's under your own discretion to bring them. We're also full off-grid, so you need to be aware of your power usage. Normally it's all good, but in rainy/cloudy days, we have limited power.
