    Description

I have moved to a small town called Omakau 20minutes north of Alexandra in Central Otago. I am single and in my early 60's. My wee house has had a lot of work done on it by so many amazing people. ❤️ I have now got to the stage where it’s just a bit of painting/maintenance and gardening left to do. I am looking to put up a new fence and re-develop a small building into a shade house. I grow my own vegetables and flower plants. My new job takes me away from home a bit and I now need someone to be there to look after my wee dog Dottie who loves cuddles and playing. Having someone in my house if I’m away would be great to. I love to travel and meet new people and see this as a chance to give a little back. I am right beside the Central Otago Rail Trail. 1.5hrs from Wanaka, Queenstown or Dunedin. The golf course is just over the road, you can use my clubs. I have access to a hunting hut up in the hills if you wanted to experience some off the grid living. Central is very warm in the summers and the local river and pub are only 5 mins walk from the house.

If your are in to hunting there could be opportunities to go rabbit or goat shooting. I can take you fishing. This is a rural community so things are a bit different than being in town. I come from a farming back ground and can explain lots about the way we farm in NZ. I have two daughters, both married. One here in Omakau with two granddaughters and living on a sheep station and the other in Southland working on a dairy farm.
I love to learn about different cultures and different ways of doing things.

I'm just after a bit of help to bring my wee house back to her former glory. There is still a wee bit of stuff to do in the house now but with my new job I need help with general cleaning round the house and garden/section. I also have a wee dog called Dotty who need looking after when I’m not here. There is still lots of things to care for in the garden and round the section. ❤️

    What else ...

As Omakau/Alexandra is pretty handy to all the main attractions in Central there are heaps of things to do in your time off. You will need transport or I can drop you in Alexandra where buses run between main towns. If you come to Alexandra and need a ride to Omakau I can always come and pick you up.
