Come join our family in the beautiful city of Baie-Saint-Paul. We hope you will learn all aspects of running a B&B, including cleaning, accounting, marketing, customer service, renovations and more. The things you learn you will be able to apply in future projects you may have. We love art projects and are always willing to do something fun.
Your host will provide you with a delicious breakfast daily, including home made breads and jams, juices, local organic meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, and more. As we make breads daily, you'll even get a chance to make bread if you are interested. For lunches you are free to eat what you find in the fridge and cabinets (and help yourself with the other helpers). We make a plan for dinner and have dinner together daily around 7pm.
You will be lodged in the chalet which is located in the garden near the river. There is free high-speed wifi available through-out the property (including the chalet). We host about 3 helpers at a time. There are kayaks available in the summer months and you are welcome to go swimming if you'd like.
The work here is very small compared to other workaways so this may be a good place for you to relax on your travels. Also since the work is small, in the summer months we'll go explore the area and we'll go to some hidden spots in the mountains to go swimming.
With the cost of the food and accommodation we reach at least the minimum wage for Quebec and any tips left by travellers is split up between helpers.
Benoît the family dog is always happy to meet new friends.
We have places available for the rest of june, july and beginning of august.

Help in the house
Very often we visit different mountains and hike or rock climb. You'll have plenty of free time to visit the city (everything is within walking distance), but the best is when we do activities in a group. Just the fact that we are all from different countries, we get to discover each other while we discover the city of Baie-Saint-Paul.
David is running a bed and breakfast with his dog Benoît. Coming to help him is like joining his family while you are visiting Baie-Saint-Paul.
Here are the tasks that David does, and you are welcome to join in where you see fit.

The old summer kitchen was moved to the back of the garden around 1950. We've been slowly fixing it up and making it a nice place for helpers. We just added highspeed wifi!
There's tons of things to do in Baie-Saint-Paul, as this is a tourist town. There is something for everyone! So, go discover the region. I'm really flexible, so any help is good for me.
