    Description

    We are musicians/part time farmers who have two small children (6yrs/7 yrs). we care a lot about nature, healthy soil, regenerating farmland while creating biodiversity and securing nutritious food. locally produced and locally consumed.
    we love when things look beautiful and we dream about turning our spot on earth to a vivid place with some great respect for our nature and give room rest work and joy for people who live here and who come to visit.

    we live in a small village in the southern part of the region Dalarna where our farm is one out of 6 in total. we're close to Dalälven river and there's a lot of birds around here. the place is quite far away from any city or light pollution so the night sky is great and it's quiet and serene. but there's also a lot going on, always. we work hard and are quite energetic people.

    depending on the season and your skills and interests - learn how to take care of farm land, ski, make fires, play with our kids, grow vegetables, feed animals and take care of the animals on the site, make apple juice, collect mushrooms, cook food, cuddle with the cats, learn about regenerative agriculture, build something nice. we are happy to show you around whenever we have the possibility, although our kids are still small and need a lot of our parental attention when we're not working. so people who can entertain themselves will have a good time here :) We also love having people who are a little bit older here. 25+ is great!

    the place here is calm, quiet, beautiful.

    -----------------
    We have a farm here of somewhat 20 ha that we love and we want to share it with others. we grow vegetables, mainly for our own family and friends to enjoy, we have lots of fruit trees and berries to take care of, we have big farm land to handle and buildings and a garden to tend and use. we love to share our knowledge, experience and philosophy around growing food, normally we try to work alongside you in any project so that there's a natural way to talk about why we're doing certain things a certain way, and sometimes you will be assigned some chores and we give clear instructions.

    There are cats, chickens, cows, bees and small children at the site that crave attention and love if that's something you’re into. The village has about 20 people in total.

    At the moment we have something like 50 hens, 20 cows, bees and 4 cats.
    for workawayers who are keen to learn about animal husbandry there are some opportunities here. in the growing season we move the cows a lot for instance. just know that we wont ever risk your or our animals wellbeing or security. we love to share our knowledge and our view on grazing animals and their impact on grasslands and biodiversity. this is one of our special interests.

    We work as musicians as our income based work and our work life is not always routine friendly, for better and for worse.

    We just turned an old barn into a concert place where we sometimes arrange concerts in the summer.

    We're are always appreciating some help in the household to keep the everyday life running smooth :) Help with cooking is much appreciated, and depending on the season there are different types of outdoor tasks that we would love to have some help with. Help with feeding, cuddling and caring for the smaller animals is of course also much appreciated.

    This is a little bit of what we'd love to have some help with

    * look after animals and help us keep kitchen in order - we love well-prepared healthy food and the shared meals are good for sharing experiences and knowledge. we are always curious to get to know you!
    * come with us out on the fields and put up portable fences and help us move the herd
    * taking care of vegetable garden - never ending story...
    * making jam and juice
    * pick mushrooms
    * wood splitting and stacking
