Description
We are Carolina y Juan, we maintain our beautiful place as a beautiful small park mixed with the different cultives and trees, for stay quiet and connected with the nature in the heart of Colchagua Valley in Chile. The property includes the houses, big trees, a small vineyard - from which we produce a small quantity of wine -, a big swimming pool and green areas.
We especially want volunteers that will integrate into our family, and outdoor pets including seven dogs and to share in our daily lives.
We speak fluid English (medium) and Spanish (mother tongue).
We hope you speak Spanish to have a good communication.
We receive couples of two, friends, siblings, travelers, boyfriends ...
The time of our vine harvest is the last two weeks of March and the first of April.

I lived 3 year between Birmingham and Dublin that experience, the contact with people from different parts of the planet change my point of see of the world, we have the experience like a traveler, here you will learn about different areas like: eco farming and garden-house building, the own production of the all process of wine, the maintenance of fruit trees.
Help
The help we need is mainly in grounds keeping and tasks in the vineyard and fruits trees, as their maintenance is essential in the very rich and generous valley. The grass cutting and collecting is a weekly summer task performed with the help of a tractor. the maintenance of the fruit trees is other important task with the cultives in the garden house on winter season.
In the vineyard, such as in the park, the type of help depends on the season. from pruning to harvesting and from making and bottling wine to picking up. crop the leaves, clean the grapes, etc.
The daily schedule is maximum 5 hours a day, 5 days per week. We prefer a job well done rather than a strict schedule of hours! Because of our weekday jobs, we have more time to work on grounds keeping and in the vineyard on weekends, so it's great to count on your help on these days. We will teach you many different steps on the vineyard growth and, according to the season, you will be able to experience making your own wine.

Accommodation
We have a independent small house for the travelers, next to the principal house, the guests house have one room, one bathroom, and kitchen and living share. and hammocks outside.
the meals, (breakfast, launch and dinner) we try to cook Mediterranean food with our own vegetables or from local farmer near the house, the times of the meal are flexibles, we tried to eat healthy all the time.
What else ...
The nearest city where you can find everything you need is 5km from us, San Fernando. From here you can go to Santiago in 2 hrs, Pichilemu also is 2 hrs bus ride, is every 20 min the buses, low cost transportation is available from the entrance of the property. There are plenty of activities you can do around us trekking, biking, jogging, horseback riding, climbing, visiting museums and sites, etc. There is a swimming pool and a mini futbol court on the property you can also use. also bikes available.

El único inconveniente es que no hubo mucha comunicación porque solo hablaban francés y muy poquito español e ingles. Pero todo lo demás perfecto, sobre todo sus exquisitos pasteles.
The work is very peaceful and time is spent in great company with Mabel!
