Our family lives on the island of Amorgos, one of the most beautiful islands in the south east Cyclades. We have been living here for the last 25 years and we take care of the orchard of our great grand father, which is situated in KATAPOLA, the main port of Amorgos. We are located 70 meters away from the sea. Our land includes several spaces for animals: we own a horse, several chickens, cats and dogs. A part of the land is used for organic cultivation of vegetables and fruits, while another part is a selling area for herbs, trees, flowers etc. We are also involved in helping the animals, especially horses and donkeys, of the local animal shelter.

Our volunteers will have the chance to experience life on a remote Greek island, while at the same time, they will be learning all sorts of things concerning organic farming, including tasting the very same products of their own efforts. Our farm is a lively place, and during the summer months a lot of people are coming and going, making this the ideal place to make new acquaintances.
We need help with the organic cultivation, taking care of the animals, helping out in the plantations and whatever help is needed on the farm.
There are Tents with common showers, kitchen and wc. We provide food provisions, strictly organic, and the volunteers will participate in the cooking routine.
AMORGOS is situated in the south eastern Cyclades and it is world famous for its hiking trails, its crystal clear waters and its diving opportunities. Due to the fact it is less accessible than other islands ( there are two ports but no airport), most of its nature remains unspoiled. During the summer months there is adequate bus transportation as well as car rentals to move around. Our village, KATAPOLA, is right in the middle of the island, making it easier to see the most significant places.
