We are Dan and Kimmy, the owners of an old dairy farm that we are bringing back to life in the Champlain Valley.
Our main goals of the farm are to build a wood-fired bread oven, a grass-fed dairy, a space to brew farmhouse ales in and a farm store to sell our wares in.
Want to help us out? We'd love to have you be a part of our journey into sustainable farming!
Since we are starting this farm from scratch, we are looking for volunteers who want to help us get off to a great start in our three operations of artisan bread, dairy / cheese and craft beer.
Right now the focus is on renovations and resuscitating the old farm to new life.
We also need idea people and infrastructure aficionados who see the big picture and want to lend their help and creativity to the our operations regardless of farm experience.
Please let us know how long you wish to stay when you contact us through WorkAway so we can make a plan.

We have a camper and camping is available. Outdoor hot water shower and composting toilets.
Workawayers are encouraged to explore the Champlain Valley during their stay at the farm. There is a lot to do in the immediate area and we have plenty of info on hand to help you enjoy your time with us.
For example, take a visit to Ausable Chasm and explore the towns both North and South of us along Lake Champlain. Also you can make a short trip via car or ferry to Burlington, Vermont.
A 30 minute drive West takes you into the Keene for hiking in the High Peaks. 15 minutes more takes you into Lake Placid which is full of cool restaurants and shops on a vibrant main street.
10 minutes further West brings you to Saranac Lake that is full of lakes and rivers if you like canoeing, kayaking and fishing. If you enjoy the outdoors, there are lots of fun place to explore.
Basically our area in the Adirondacks offers something for everyone that is not too far away to enjoy in a day trip or an extended stay.
Having a car is good but if you don't we can make arrangements to drop you off and pick you up using some of the bus routes available.
We are only a short drive from the Amtrak train station in Westport, NY.
Again, please let us know how long you wish to stay when you contact us through WorkAway.
