    Description

Come stay on our 80 acre homestead in the fertile Champlain Valley.

We believe living off of the land can provide not only a good life, but the best life as we feed the soil that feeds us. Our main goals currently are small building renovations, building a pavilion and planting fruit and nut trees to provide a riparian buffer for our streams.

Workawayers are encouraged to explore the Champlain Valley during their stay at the farm. There is a lot to do in the immediate area and we have plenty of info on hand to help you enjoy your time with us.

For example, take a visit to Ausable Chasm and explore the towns both North and South of us along Lake Champlain. Also you can make a short trip via car or ferry to Burlington, Vermont.

A 40 minute drive West takes you into the Keene for hiking in the High Peaks. 20 minutes more takes you into Lake Placid which is full of cool restaurants and shops on a vibrant main street.

10 minutes further West brings you to Saranac Lake that is full of lakes and rivers if you like canoeing, kayaking and fishing. If you enjoy the outdoors, there are lots of fun place to explore.

Basically our area in the Adirondacks offers something for everyone that is not too far away to enjoy in a day trip or an extended stay.

Having a car is good but if you don't we can make arrangements to drop you off and pick you up using some of the bus routes available.

We are only a short drive from the Amtrak train station in Westport, NY.

Please let us know how long you wish to stay when you contact us through WorkAway.

    Thanks!
