    Description

We relocated our sled dog kennel to rural Alberta (between Edmonton and Jasper) in the fall of 2018. Maintenance of the old and new trails is an ongoing project so that they are in good shape for training the dogs. The dogs are our passion. We all enjoy energetic, happy, positive vibes, both in our home, and in the dog yard. In the winter months we train the dogs and attend sled dog races throughout North America. The exercise program is maintained year round for the dogs and puppies, which helps with their development, so they are in shape for winter training and racing.

    Help

You must be a dog lover, self-motivated, responsible, a hard worker with a positive attitude and willing to learn our procedures. The ability to fix things, perform trail work and any other tasks related to maintaining the dog yard would be an asset. Daily chores include feeding, cleaning, maintaining and caring for the dogs and their surroundings. Assistance with training the adult dogs and walking and playing with the puppies will be part of the daily routine. Our place is best suited for individuals who are able to work independently, reliable, physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Driving the ATV is part of the daily routine. Volunteers should be kind, independent, innovative and ready for adventure.
