Hello team!
We bought a boat. It was supposed to be a charity and infrastructure vessel for the South Pacific Islands, where we are based, but for now the boat is in Norway and heading to Spain for Phase 1 of some recontruction.
WHO WE NEED ?
Some brave helpers who are available this week-end to come to Norway and take her South for the summer. We need Engineers most of all, because it is a power boat with two big engine rooms. Anyone with Marine engineering experience is more than welcome, we will cover flights and if we all get along, it may be possible to join us later in the summer when we do some exploring of the mediterannean. The boat has 11 crew but due to last minute delays, 3 have had to leave and we still need to depart on Monday.
WHERE IS THE BOAT ?
The boat is now in Skudenhavn, Norway leaving to Vigo in Spain on Monday. We need someone to get to the boat before it leaves, in particular if you have engineering skills.
WHAT KIND OF BOAT IS IT?
50 Meters former rescue vessel, designed to save about 250 people from an accident in the North Sea, if it were to happen. We are transforming it into a lovely home and have done a lot of work, removing all the unecessary commercial equipment (cranes, oil pipes, A-Frames, cargo and more) but we havn't really started on the inside yet. It's still very commercial, but liveable-ish. We love it.
HOW LONG IS THE JOURNEY ?
It is about a week long.

If you think you have related skills or just high motivation to help us with the boat, please let us know ASAP.

I'm keen to expand my French, catch up to my kids' abilities in Spanish, talk more in Arabic, and revive my Greek.Accommodation
5 twin bed cabins.
2 single occupancy cabins.
1 double bed cabin (It's ours.)
8-bed bunk room.
As work progresses, we expect that there will be 6 beautiful ensuite cabins taking shape as the volunteer army and skilled workforce completes its work over the next 20 weeks.
There is also room for about 20 in the main media room downstairs. And showers/bathrooms for about 20 simultaneous showers/bathrooms at present.
But it needs a dust and a clean before I'm happy letting our volunteer guests make themselves at home there..!What else ...
The yacht is in Norway (Christmas eve).
You're welcome to join it as soon as you want. There are already two crew aboard...and she has a fully qualified chief engineer too.A little more information
