Description
We are Ninon & Jurgen and live off-grid at our eco-friendly Mountain Retreat (A down to earth guest farm). It's about digital detox eco-tourism, hiking trails, mountain trekking, canyoning and other adventure activities. Our organic/permaculture garden is growing but will eventually feed us and more.

Here you'll get a good dose of, nature, eco-friendliness, conscious living in close range of a wild mountain environment. You'll learn hands on farm skills and how to prepare healthy wholesome meals, when ever possible straight from our organic garden.
Help
Volunteering tasks range from fieldwork, building & renovation, hiking trail maintenance, permaculture gardening, composting, feeding chicken, as well as cleaning of guest cottages, helping in our kitchen etc.
Where possible we all work together in a team, however volunteers need to be able to work on their own and be comfortable with the remoteness of the farm, lack of WiFi and mobile phone connection. Get ready for a Digital Detox!
We are looking for outdoorsy, hands-on volunteers (bring your hiking boots!). Practical experience is a bonus!Languages spoken

Volunteers stay in our caravan or safari tent depending numbers of volunteers (max. 4). There's a private open air shower and compost toilet. Healthy, wholesome breakfast and lunch on work days are provided and shared with us Volunteers help with kitchen work. For the evening meal and off-days you cater mostly for yourself. Basic cooking and fridge facility are provided at the Caravan.
What else ...
For your free time there's plenty if hiking trails, yoga & and mediation space or if you have your own transport visit the surrounding villages, wine farms, rock climbing, river rafting, horse riding, zip sliding and other adventure activities.
Public transport from Cape Town to Ashton, then Montagu (our nearest village, 50km from here) is best by bus - please ask us for contacts & timing.A little more information

I've never felt 2 weeks being so short in my life. Luckily i caught Jurgen and Ninon when they were in Cape Town,so we all drove up to the place.
