Description
We are a new, developing Eco-village a community of earth-focused humans with a few non-humans. Working on regenerating what was a dairy farm to create a sanctuary for bird life and bio-diversity abundance. Already we have extended the native forest surrounding our river that flows to the Kaipara harbour and planted a huge vegetable and flower garden. We host great potluck dinners regularly and a few awesome dance parties. Couples or an individual, any gender and age welcome.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Be part of our community, and have the opportunity to meet a truly diverse and fun group of caring grounded people. Epic conversations and concepts abound. We are bringing about the change we want to see in the world. Where people thrive and nature flourishes. Enrichment happens through sharing cultures your and ours, meals and socialising. Gain practical regenerative and permaculture skills. Live and learn in the outdoors.
Help
There is always a variety of things to do on the farm, gardening, planting native trees, firewood or taking care of animals. We would love to be more self-sufficient so your help would be appreciated. Some jobs are physical and just take time like mulching and weeding/tree finding. Other tasks could involve gardening, tree planting, animal care and cleanup sheds etc. Basic building skills could be used for making planter boxes or fixing fencing. Someone is always around to teach and guide but ideally, you will be self-directed and physically fit.

Accommodation
A room in the farmhouse or nearby cabin with double bed and bedding. Shared house with 2-3 others of the community and a cat. The house is insulated, there is a stove, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and gas hot water. Basic food will be provided for you to prepare yourself. Generally, with shared evening meals at the farmhouse. We are a mix of vegetarian and carnivores. We often do gluten-free and dairy alternatives if you have dietary requirements. Some meat, organic vegetables and fruit will be available from the property. Fishing is encouraged.
What else ...
We have kayaks, paddle boards and bikes for use. There is access to the estuary on the property. Lots of nice places to walk and forest to hang out in. We are 15mins from Wellsford a small farming town or an hour from downtown Auckland for some City-life. Alot of the community are involved in festivals and markets, music and dance events.
