    Description

Hi, I'm Janice and I organise a multi generational home. I live with my husband, our daughter and her two children in our semi rural harbourside home. A special feature of our home is the natural setting with seashore, birdlife and forest all around. We are 15 mins from Whangarei city and have a swimming beach at our boundary as well as many beaches close by. We are a fun active family that love animals and the outdoors. We need help with running our household and in the gardens. We have a small dog, two cats and laying hens. I like to think of our place as an urban farm.

  • Help

    Help

Helpers enjoy accommodation and meals in exchange for 5hrs work per day. We prefer volunteers to stay for a week with fives days working and two days free.

We could use help with a number of projects inside and out. Helpers have the opportunity to choose their work which could include renovations, landscaping, gardening, processing garden produce and decorating. We also offer house hold chores and cleaning that could include cleaning kitchen cupboards, cleaning ceilings, vacuuming and washing windows. We will let applicants know what type of work is available at the time they would like to visit.

We also expect our helpers to do their share of cooking and dishes on top of their volunteer work. Also, we ask that you clean the studio before you depart. This involves stripping the beds and putting on the washing machine, vacuuming and washing the floors, cleaning the bathroom and putting rubbish in the outside bin.

I also would like people who are handy with a camera and can help document our area on social media.

The children may work along side you but the responsibility for their supervision will be that of a family member.
