Hey :) my name is Malou and I'm 22 years old. I recently graduated from university in Germany, where I earned my degree in Medical Informatics. Currently, I'm in the process of planning my trip to Australia and/or New Zealand. My initial plan is to stay on a holiday visa for the first three months starting in November and then transition to a working holiday visa for at least a year in either New Zealand or Australia. I am therefore looking for an opportunity to volunteering in exchange for accommodation, where I can learn new skills and improve my language skills.

I have prior experience with Woofing in Portugal, where I spent 3 weeks working on a farm, engaging in tasks such as harvesting, weeding, and caring for goats. I absolutely loved the experience!!

I started working part-time at 16 years old at a health food store in Germany. This experience ignited my passion for organic foods and sustainable products. I love to prepare food for my family or spend time in nature. In 2014, my mother founded an online shop for sustainable and organic superfoods and cosmetics (https://kraftmischer.de/), where I also like to help out from time to time.

The most important thing for me is to gain new experiences. I don’t really care which specific kind of work I have to do, I would be happy with anything.
I grew up in a small village, where almost everyone owns a big garden and animals. I love to prepare food for my family or spend time in nature. I love animals and grew up with dogs. That is also the reason why I am vegetarian since I’m 8 years old.

It was a pleasure having Luna and Malou stay with us for almost 3 weeks. They were polite, tidy and eager to help.
