Hi! My name’s Rachel, I’m from Monterey, California, and recently graduated from UCSB as a psychological and brain sciences major. I would say I’m very social and energetic, love to be active especially in nature, love trying new things and meeting new people, but also very much value spending time alone, deepening my connections with others, and balancing having fun with taking care of one's self!

Here are some of my hobbies/interests: surfing, running, climbing, sewing, art, music (both seeing live music and playing (recently guitar and harmonica lol)), slacklining, gardening/horticulture, cooking (love making curries, paella, and–as of recent–kombucha), dancing, spending time in nature, and connecting with others.

I'm additionally super passionate about regenerative agriculture/creating more food accessibility in communities, sustainability in the fashion industry (I have a small business of making clothing from trash/scraps), and lots of things psychology related.

I love to learn whether that’s picking up new hobbies/skills or just talking about life and sharing knowledge! So I definitely hope there are things I can share with others through this journey as well as learn from others:)

I am in general just very excited and open to learning about as much as I can right now! Any skill, topic, or activity I most likely will want to try out or talk about. I love getting into in depth discussions about anything about life and really value productive conversations that share differing perspectives and ideas on anything :)
